So I had someone tell me today that the story doesn't make sense in the next chapter and they told me why. I was really confused because I knew I had written that part into the story, but apparently I must have skipped over a part when I pasted it into wattpad. Of course it was a part that was extremely important to the plot, right?
Love, Elle Moon
Dracon Leader of Hade's Legion
I hear of a profession here on earth called acting, and before today I hadn't realized what it was. When Meline tapped into the power of thought placement, I have to admit I wasn't expecting it. To get such an advanced power is testament to the pure god's blood running through her veins. I was almost too late trying to stop the thought before it planted itself in my head.
Working in Hades legion meant rigorous training to say the least and half of that training was mental training. All members are trained against thought placement, but few master it. Hades must know that when his legion is on a mission they will not be working for the opposite side half way through the mission.
The thought Meline sent me popped into my head as if my own. You need a strong will to be able to decide which thoughts are your own and which thoughts may be coming from another source. After that half the legion messes up by showing emotions on their face that would signify that they realize something was done to them. I however never had a problem keeping an indifferent face, which is why Meline doesn't know that I know about the harpies.
The only problem in knowing a secret, is keeping a secret. I happen to be one of the best at deception as well as keeping secrets.

Watching Meline use so much power in one sitting worries me. Such a strong power will drain a god without their talisman. A god's talisman is their link to unlimited power. Hades has his trident with two prongs, which gives him his unlimited power without fear of fatigue. I must admit I don't know the how a god gets their talisman and how it is linked to unlimited power, but I know that the amount of power she used was far more than I had ever seen a god use without a talisman.
I stay close behind her, in case she might faint, but she doesn't show any fatigue from the power workout. If anything she seems relieved, which I can understand. I saw the weak wills of humans today and I understand now, why they cannot know about my world. Their minds are not strong enough and they would break. What I hadn't expected was Meline to have such control over her powers so early. I'd heard that without a talisman, powers were uncontrollable and dangerous, but Meline uses her powers extremely well.
She was decidedly cunning I also noticed. After I stepped in to make a story for her friend, Meline was quick to think of stories for the rest of the students. She said the stories with so much conviction no one bothered to deny her story. They simply agreed straight out that she was right. It happens to be a trait she shares with her father.
Once Meline had taken away the memory of the last person, I walked up to her, "It's getting late. Do you want me to walk you home?" I knew immediately that my comment threw her, because we had been fighting since the moment we met.
"Sorry, but I don't like you, so no," She replied barely sending me a sideways glance. Damn, the girl spoke her mind, which I begrudgingly admit I respect.
"Straight forward, I like it. But I am trying to be a gentleman and being rejected might cause me to go to a dark place, where I never again ask a girl if she wants me to walk her home. And then when said future girl walks home, she might get attacked by a stranger. Which means that the attack on future girl is actually your fault," I stated.
