Hello readers,

Sorry its been so long since I last published a part, but my schedule was hectic to say the least. I wrote Chapter Ten a while ago, but I haven't had time to update it. I hope you like this addition to my story! Don't forget to add my book to your library and give it a star.

Hades, King of the Underworld

I slam my trident into the ground while retracting my power. The loud crack was still echoing after the guards pushed open the door. Again they scrambled to obey me as fast as they could. Tripping over their own feet. Four guards formed a row in front of me, each with their chests puffed out. Their antics are barbaric, no god would be stupid enough to think a puffed out chest meant a greater man.

"I have news," I stated turning my back on them and pacing towards the window. They knew by now not to answer me for I do not like to be interrupted. "Dracon has told me his news of finding my lost child, although he ran into a bit of a challenge while on the mission. The four sister harpies were there to take my child and as you know the harpies may reside in the underworld, but they are not under my control. They are in fact under my brother's control; I want you to summon Zeus immediately. And you might as well summon Poseidon while you're at it, we'll make an evening out of it."

As the guards stare at me as if I've lost it, I begin to lose my temper. I slam my trident into the ground, but this time I put a small amount of power behind it. The ground shakes as if a small earth quake has happened, sending all the guards on to their backs, two feet back from their original position. They all twist around trying to get back on to their stomachs so they can push up. Once they have accomplished the task they scramble out of the room in a run, as if the devil himself was after them. And seeing how I run hell, that devil would be me and I am indeed something to fear.

Those who would look upon three brothers would not expect Poseidon, Zeus and I to share the same parents; both mother and father. We are all tall and muscular, which one would find normal for male gods as well as female gods. With the exception of Hermes, who is no taller than five foot two and has little muscle mass. This is the end of similarities between the three of us, though.

Poseidon wears a pair of dark brown swimming trunks that reach just past his knees along with a pair of Greek sandals, which wrap his ankles in gold straps. He has forgone a shirt as usual, because as a god he has no self-consciousness about his body. In fact he sometimes goes to the mortal world to walk along crowded beaches, because his muscles and eight pack abs make male humans feel inadequate. Though Poseidon will tell you he was merely showing off, ever god knows he craves the attention of a humans who see him as perfect. Which I understand seeing as we gods lie in a world where we are all perfect, though humans believe 'no one is perfect' we gods believe otherwise because we are running the world and we want to believe there's a reason why.

Zeus holds his trident close to his side as he gives me a cold stare of indifference, one might reserve for enemies who haven't given you a reason to attack. His long beard light brown beard is in great contrast with Poseidon's clean shaven face as well as his blonde hair. However neither of them have hair as dark as mine which is the deepest black you can imagine. Zeus wears a flannel shirt and a pair of denim jeans. To anyone else Poseidon would be a beach dweller and Zeus would be a lumber jack, but there appearance have nothing to do with their attitudes. I, however dress my part with a long cloak, which resembles the cloak from the Matrix. I wear dark black jeans with a black muscle shirt, my everyday ensemble.

"Are you going to stare at us or tell us why we are here?" Poseidon grumbles.

"Such a short attention span you have little brother. I wanted to ask Zeus a question and I need to know the truth," I state with a menacing sneer in Zeus's direction.

"Well now you have me curious," Poseidon says in his excited voice.

"Do you know of my daughter?" I ask quietly. Poseidon mouth is hanging open and I'm pretty sure he doesn't believe me, but Zeus has the same cold indifference on his face. That cold indifference says exactly what I need to know even before he speaks.

"Yes," He states simply.

"Did you send the Harpies?" I try to say it evenly, but you can tell I'm barely holding in my anger.

"Yes," He once again answers so simply for something that could have killed my daughter.

"Why in the hell would you attack my daughter?" I finally let go of control and scream this at him.

"You have kept this a secret for seventeen years, you obviously know why," Zeus stares me dead in the eyes as he says this.

"I didn't know," I whisper it out of a breath, but since gods have increased hearing I have no doubt he heard.

"I have seen you as many things over the years little brother, however a liar remained out of that list. Are you honestly telling me that your naive Persephone was pregnant with your child and you were idiotic enough not to realize her stomach was growing rapidly or that she was sick in the mornings?" Zeus said this while staring at me as if I was like Cerberus and had three heads.

"Think about it, I have only four month of the entire year with her. That means had she gotten pregnant a few months into the visit she would not have been showing by the time she left. Enough time to hide our child before I ever realized what had happened. What better place to hide our child than in the human realm where I do not travel," I explained my logic to them.

"It could happen," Poseidon chimed in from my left, but Zeus remained quiet and I assume he realized I was right.

"Now tell me why you would harm my daughter!" I say forcefully again.

"Gods aren't meant for the human realm. We are like flame to moths when it comes to humans, they see the beautiful appeal of our appearance and are drunk on the feeling of power that we cannot contain, that they are magnetized to us. They would do anything for us, which means that what a god wants on earth a god will get. It would upset the balance of earth entirely, which is why gods do not frequent Earth," Zeus explains and as much as I hate that he attacked my daughter, the ruthless side of me understands why he did what he did.

"You can't continue to send attacks on her no matter the balance of earth!" I yell at him.

"I will make you a deal. Bring her to the Underworld and I will stop the attacks, until then I will continue until she is dead or her in the Underworld with you. However if she can never step foot on earth again. She will forever be in the Underworld with the rest of the Gods or I will hunter her down again, do you understand?" Zeus asks me as he walks up to my face and looks me straight in the eyes.

"You can't expect me to get her here with a snap of my finger's I need time to make her understand. This the equivalent of kidnapping a human," I tell Zeus.

"You have two days to bring her here before the next attack," Zeus tells me before slamming his trident into the ground. A crack of lightning hits the spot Zeus was standing and now the only thing left is a black mark. A hand on my shoulder makes my head whip around, only to see its Poseidon who I'd forgotten about until now.

"You know what he says is true, gods don't belong in the human realm. They belong up here in our family. His methods might be wrong, but his judgement is right. You need to find your daughter and get her here as fast as you can or Zeus will make sure you never meet your daughter," Poseidon lets go of my shoulder and slams his trident down as well, only this time water appears from the floor and eclipses him a moment later. I haven't been a parent before, but I need to be right now if I ever hope to meet my daughter. Now I just have to come up with a plan.
