Dracon Leader of Hade's Legion

"Good news or bad news," I mutter to Melinoe as I walk back toward her after my conversation with Hades.

"Good news, of course," she says as if that's the obvious choice.

"You'll meet your father by tomorrow, the bad news is he can't send a portal," I rub my forehead feeling a head ache come on.

"What does that mean?"

"It means, we'll be looking for the entrance to the Underworld for the next 24 hours," I tell her.

"That can't be too difficult, you know where that is right? You're literally from the underworld you must know where the entrance is," She's looking at me with such hopeful eyes.

"That's the thing, Hades is a paranoid bastard. He has Charon change the location every day, even Hades doesn't know exactly where the entrance is," I mutter.

"Of course not! It can't be that simple could it?" She yells at me, yanking on her long blonde locks. I grab her hand before I can help myself and pull her hands away from her hair so she can't hurt herself any more. Her eyes get wide and a faint blush touches her cheeks. I drop her hand as if I've been burned. "Sorry," I mutter under my breathe.

"Hades has told Charon to remain within Wisconsin so that narrows it down by a lot. Its well known that the more obvious something is the harder it is to find, so lets start with somewhere that is highly populated," I look at her expectantly for an answer.

"Umm, well this time of year with spring break right around the corner, the Dells will be packed," She's giving me a look to say that she's not sure it's a good suggestion. But I nod my head to show her I think it is.

"Lets get walking then," I say as I start to walk. I only make it a few feet before I notice she's not following me. She's looking at me like I've grown two heads. "What?"

"You're not exactly from around here, so you wouldn't know it but the Wisconsin dells are an hour and 45 minutes away, it would take an entire day to walk there!" she shoves her hands out to her side as if to ask what the hell I'm thinking.

"Then how do we get there? We don't have a day if this is just a guess," I state the obvious. She gets a gleam in her eyes that I've never seen in anyone before. It's a cross between a smirk and an evil glare.

I'm standing outside of her house following a foot behind her, when I see her reach into her pocket. She pulls out a remote that has a picture of a house on it and clicks the top button. An awful screech makes my head shoot up to look at the large metal door opening. What catches my eye even more is the gleaming red machine in the building she just opened. It has curves that create a sexy look that's amplified by the candy red. I take my eyes off of it to peak at Melinoe. She has a satisfied smile on her face and also a look of pride.

"This is my car. It's a 1973 Corvette. I haven't had a chance to drive it lately because of the weather. I spent every minute since I was 15 earing money for this car," The way she talks about the car has me confused. Sure it's a beautiful car, but it's only a machine. I can tells its more than that to her.

"Its beautiful," I tell her. And I'm being honest.

"This little thing will get us to the Dells in to time at all," She has an evil smirk when she says this. She waves for me to follow her and I get in on the other side of the car. As beautiful as the outside looks, the inside is anything but comfy, with my 6 foot 4 inch frame my head is snugly pressed to the top of the roof. She peaks over at me and giggles. I can't help but crack a smile at her laugh. She reaches up and pulls a few levers at the top of the car and steps outside the car. She pulls up on the roof and a panel pops off.

"T-tops were made for us tall people. I still get to drive my dream car, but I get a little more head room," She smirks at me. She lifts the seat she was sitting in forward and slips the first into the back. She lays a blanket on top of it and grabs mine. The seconds she takes it off I wiggle my neck to get feeling back into it. She puts the second one in the back and hops back in. She starts the engine and a loud growling noise erupts. I search everywhere for the threat ready to defend her, but I realize that the car is vibrating. It must be the car. She looks at me and smiles and starts to rev the engine, while she laughs, like it's the most fun she's ever had. My heart begins to pound at the sight.

She reaches between us and I think she might take my hand, but she grabs a metal bar instead and pushes a button down on the top, which causes the car to move backwards toward the end of the driveway.
