Meline

When the loud and might I add continuous beeping came from my alarm clock I could not be happier. I jumped out of bed and even though I was in a good mood I still got my legs tangled and face planted into the floor. I look around quickly to make sure I am in fact alone and there are no ghosts in my room. Then I once again bounced up to my feet, not caring that any person who looked at my forehead, would be able to see the individual floorboards of my hardwood floors on my forehead. It's weird how helping someone or more accurately something in my case, can make you feel really good about yourself. Even if the thing making you feel good about yourself, happens to be a hundred year old ghost who wants you to walk into a grave yard to give her husband Ernest's grave a message that she loves him.

Besides the fact that I can see ghosts and am certifiably insane, I rush to put on my clothes for school and bound down the stairs towards breakfast. I grab breakfast and start shoveling food in, when I notice it is really quite, so I look up. Both my parents are slack-jawed, both have a coffee cup halfway to their mouths. They are both wearing a look that clearly states 'who are you and what have you done with our daughter'. It kind of makes sense since I feel like an alien anyway, with you know being able to see and speak to ghosts. I really don't know what to say to make them stop staring at me so I shrink back and wave my hand at them as if I'm royalty and their watching me on TV. That seems to snap them out of it and they go back to what they were doing. I'm curious as to why they didn't ask why I'm ready for school so early, but I guess in parent's logic, if you confront the issue the teen will run the other direction. Which I would have seeing as I couldn't say I helped a ghost move on last night and I feel good about helping her or even I spent the night at a grave yard talking to Ernest.

After telling my parents good bye and watching them pretend they weren't watching me I left for school.

As I walked to school I made sure to wave at every single ghost I saw, 'cause I got a new mantra, 'if you can't get rid of the crazy, join the crazy'. Now I'm just hoping no one saw me waving at inanimate objects.

Once I arrived at school the day went much better than yesterday, no more attacks on the teacher or throwing food on to the head cheerleaders head, just simple class. Well simple if you add in the extra five ghosts who joined the student body in each class. The day started to get weird right before lunch though. As I walked past a few ghosts talking about me.

"That ghost yesterday that was following her around, a bunch of ghosts are saying she moved on," the dark haired twenty-something year old ghost stated.

"Yeah, but I wouldn't go near that girl," The blonde haired guy next to the twenty-something year old girl says.

"Why?" the dark haired ghost asks.

"Didn't you hear? She's the daughter of-" The loud ringing of the lunch bell rang out, drowning the rest of the blonde ghost's words. I could almost cry from the amount of frustration I felt at that moment. I needed to know what the ghost was going to say, but they disappeared a few seconds later. With a frustrated groan I left to go meet my friends for lunch.

Unfortunately the gossip her friends were spreading around didn't seem as interesting as it usually did and lunch time was dragging on. I mean how would my friends react to the fact that on Lacey's left a brown eyed guy with black hair wearing a football jersey was staring at her in transparent form. Or that on Katerina's right a blonde haired blue eyed boy with geek glasses and a uni-brow was making faces behind her back.

"So you're coming right?" Katerina looked at me expectantly and I realized I had no clue what she was talking about.

"Ummm," I mumbled unsure of how to proceed.

"You didn't hear a word we said, did you?" Katerina smirked at me knowing she was right, and I simply nodded. "Well I know you were hanging on my every word but I'll tell you again. Jake Mason is having a party, since his parents are out of town. He's inviting everyone even the geeks."

"Sooo?" I drew the word out.

"So you big dummy, were going," She explained matter-of-factly.

"Uh no we are not," I a shake my head side to side as if that would help solidify the fact I don't want to go.

"You are not getting out of this one! Think about it, we are almost done with our junior year, that means we have like one year to be crazy before college starts," She explained.

"Isn't that what college is for?" I mutter under my breath, even though I know she can still hear me.

"No, silly, college is for getting drunk and hooking up," She explains again.

"That doesn't sound reassuring," I mutter.

"This will prepare you! Come on say you'll come with me," She practically begged.

"I am going to regret this, but I guess I could go," in fact I knew I was going to regret this. A tap on my shoulder had me jumping and I looked over my shoulder to see Lacey. I gave her a questioning look by raising my eye brow.

"She devil is looking at you with a murderous expression," Lacey explained. I turned to look knowing exactly who Lacey was talking about. None other than Monica head cheerleader was staring daggers at me.

"Don't you wish you could hear what they were saying about us?" Katerina asked. As silly as it was I trying to do exactly that.

I will ruin her

I looked around the table to see who had spoken, but no one had their mouth open. Then I had a crazy thought, what if I was hearing Monica. Seeing as I was already certifiably crazy it made sense.

I might just take down that table of freaks with that jealous bitch for fun

I watched as the sides of Monica's mouth tilted up at the corners, whereas my mouth dropped open and my eyes widened. No way! This was not happening, but just to make sure I look over at Katerina. If I hear something about getting ready for the party this might actually be what I think it is. I try to focus on what Katerina is saying, but just like with Monica, Katerina's mouth doesn't move as she speak.

Yes! I got her to come to the party! Step one of the master plan complete! Now for step two, getting Meline to wear makeup and a dress. This is going to be so much fun! Just like dressing up a doll.

My eyes went wide because for one I was right and for two, Katerina was going to try and put me in a dress like a dress up doll. I mean really could she have said something else, like putting makeup on a model or a hair stylist for a model, because I did not want to be compared to a lifeless doll.

After getting over the fact that Katerina sees me as a dress up doll I realize the more important detail. I can read minds.
