Hades, King of the Underworld

As the black swirls of the mirror disappear, Dracons face appears. I'm expecting to hear bad news. Being the King of the Underworld means my life has never been easy. I've always drawn the short end of the stick, hence being tricked into having to be the one to run the underworld, whereas my brother get to rule the wind and sea.

"Well," I address Dracon as civilly as I can.

"I've spoken to Melinoe and she has agreed to meet you," My heart skips a beat. I haven't felt like this in years, not since Persephone died. Of course it was obvious I would meet her eventually, but to have her agree so quickly, has never even occurred to me as a possibility.

"I can't have a portal ready for you," I growl the words, not angry at Dracon, but at the damn demons who don't know shit about how to operate three measly buttons.

"Sir?" Dracon questions with a confused expression.

"The lower demons broke one of the buttons, the portal will allow you to travel somewhere, but not to travel back". I immediately start rubbing my forehead feeling as if brimstone was sitting on top of my brain.

"But she must get to the underworld by tomorrow or there will be more attacks,"

"I'm more than aware of that," I yell at him. "You'll have to find the entrance to the underworld. Charon moves the entrance every day, but I informed him to stay with Wisconsin, because of the broken portal. I haven't had contact with him in a few days, so I couldn't tell you his location. I expect to see you by tomorrow evening," I say to him in a calmer voice as I hang up on him.

I know this makes things more complicated, but I've known him for so long that I am more than confident in his capabilities after all he is the leader of my legion.
