Going Out?

I woke up from a nap I had taken when I had gotten back from the beach. I was so groggy as I laid there thinking. Laying here, I realized that I had nothing to do for the weekend. That's when my phone rang.

The shrill noise in my ear caused me to groan, as I reached for my phone. I read the screen, and was shocked to see Lola's name flash across my screen, along with a picture of her in the detention classroom.

I wondered to myself when she put her number in my phone, and how she even got my phone from my bag without me seeing it. Answering it, I growled. "Hello?"

She laughed. "Well don't you just sound like the perfect little sunshine in the morning."

Dryly laughing, I cleared my throat. "Bitch, how the hell did you get my phone number?"

She giggled out a laugh causing me to cringe in annoyance. "Wellll, I don't know! But, what I do know is that you need to get out more. I've got the whole entire day planned for you and me."

My eyebrows scrunched up together. The last time I had a friend, he betrayed me without even a glance back. Josh. "Why would I want to hang out with you?" I asked lowly.

"Well," She started, not sure herself. "I'll pay for you to get into the club with me?"

This got my attention. I sat up in bed. "The club? As in a bar, and strobe lights, and dancing? That kind of club?" I've actually never been to one, and I've always wanted to go, but as you all know, I am legally not allowed inside of one. Especially because I am only seventeen.

"Uh, Yeah! But anyways, it'll be totally fun! It's the premier for its opening tonight! Everyone's gonna be there!" She said excitedly. Admittedly, I had grown excited too over the course of this conversation.

"But aren't we too young to go in? I mean, I'm pretty sure we'll need an I.D. that says we're eighteen." I asked doubtfully.

"Oh! No, it's totally fine. Trust me!" She said, sounding totally sure of herself. "I'm allowed in with some friends all the time! After all, my brother is the one who owns it."

Wow. "I know I'll probably regret this in the future, but yeah, I'm in." I knew I probably was gonna have the time of my life.

"Okay great! Get ready in thirty minutes! I'll be there to pick you up, and we're going shopping! Kay bye!!!" She squealed before hanging up. She talked so fast when she was excited, that I didn't even realize she said to be ready in thirty minutes, until five minutes later.

'Ah shit.' I hopped up really fast, and made a mad dash for the shower.

thirty minutes later...

*DING! DONG!*

The door bell rang in my ears. I slowly gathered my hand bag and keys, before opening it.

Lola stood in front of me, sporting the brightest smile I've ever seen. She wore a plain white shirt that hung off her left shoulder. It was loosely tucked into her body hugging, yellow shorts. She had white scandals, and to top it all off, a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses. She looked cute and bubbly.

She was a big contrast to me. I wore a red long sleeved shirt that hung off both of my shoulders, a black short skirt, and black combat heels. I grabbed my sunglasses too, seeing as it was sunny out.

When I stepped outside to follow her to her -wouldn't you know- BMW with its sun roof down. It was cherry red with black seats that was warm against my pale chocolate skin. The Sun kissed the tip of my nose, and the tops of my exposed shoulders. My freckles stuck out even more. Ugh.

"So how was your morning?" She asked with a relaxed smile.

"Peculiar." I said honestly, giving her a look. She just smiled, started her car, and turned up the radio loudly. Her joy filled laugh rang in the air, the music dimming it down a bit. I bit my lip when I looked at the speedometer.

"If we crash. I'm suing."
