Why did I believe,
Why did I act so foolishly?
Your words,
Actually vinegar,
Instead of sweet alluring honey.
If I had looked farther I would have seen it was a disguise.
But how was I to know, how was I to know it was all lies?
I was just a player in your dangerous game.
You are fine while my poor heart is maimed.
As I was basking in the aftermath glow,
You stood up and got ready to go.
"Baby" I said "why are you being so frigid cold?"
"Darling" you replied "I have no soul."
I thought I was being coy,
Playing hard to get.
Little did I know,
You only wanted pure sex.
