Why does he make me feel this way?
Everything he does, everything he says,
Ignites a fire within me, so strong.
Even the mighty begin to fall.
I swore that I would not love him again,
That all he is to me is a forgotten sin.
But when I see him, there is that burning within.
My resolve is now dust on the wind.
There he is, so strong, like a God.
When you're around him, you can't help but feel awed.
There is that familiar flame within me, so lasting.
For breath he leaves me, gasping.
I swore that I would not love him again.
That all he is to me is a lost sin.
But when I see him there is that burning within.
My resolve is now dust on the wind.
He stands there with calm self assurance,
My sanity, it should be insuranced.
That forsaken flame pops up again, so warm,
Why did those embers have to be born?
