Emily:

It's five o'clock and I'm still half asleep, but I need to get ready.

I go to the kitchen and pour a bowl of cereal. After I finish, I grab an orange and a water from the fridge and shove it in my bag for a snack later.

As I'm walking to the door I almost forget I haven't changed yet. I drag myself back to my room, laughing at myself.

Okay. Second attempt.

When I arrive to school there's a school bus pulling up to the sidewalk. It let's out a bunch of kids. Some kids I don't recognize.

I walk up to one of them: A guy with blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Hi. What's your name? I'm Emily."

"Jeffrey. Nice to meet you."

"Do you know all these kids?"

"Yeah. We're transfers."

"New kids? There hasn't been many of those in a while, just the same old boring faces."

He smiles.

"Can you show me around? Since, I suppose, you know where all the classes are."
