Julie's POV
James, Lexi, and I all walked into the kitchen to start making some breakfast. Lexi started to make some eggs but there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it!" Lexi said and ran to the door. James and I followed behind but not too close. We made sure to stay in the kitchen.

"Alexis, what did we tell you about not answering our calls?" I heard a voice everyone hated. Lexis aunt.

James peered around the corner but soon started running for the door.

"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER YOU ASSHOLE!" I head James yell. Probably to his uncle. I left my phone upstairs so I grabbed James's and called 911.

Dispatcher-911 what's your emergency?
Me-Uh my friend, her abusive aunt and uncle came here and yelled at her and now she's unconscious.
Dispatcher-Are the aunt and uncle still there?
Me-Yes
Dispatcher-What's your address ma'am?
Me-82 Wilbrook Avenue
Dispatcher-Are there any weapons in the house?
Me-I don't think so.
Dispatcher-We have units on the way right now.
Me-Thank you

James and I ran upstairs to get dressed and I grabbed my phone alone with Lexis. I picked up my purse and ran back downstairs. When I got down there the ambulance and police were here and I didn't know where her aunt was.

"Okay, who called us?" The paramedic asked.
"I did." I spoke up.
"Do you know where the aunt and uncle are?" He asked.
"No, sorry." I replied.

They put Lexi onto the stretcher and carried her out to the ambulance. They allowed both James and I to get in and ride with her to the hospital. At this rate, we're going to end up getting banned from this hospital.

We got there and they admitted Lexi to a room and had us wait out in the waiting room. An hour passed. So did another. No news.

"GOD DAMNIT! WHERES THE DOCTOR?" James yelled pacing back and forth.
"James, calm down." I stayed calm.

But he didn't listen. He walked up to the receptionist desk.

"What the hell is going on with my sister?" He practically yelled.

The lady was trying to stay calm and asked for her name. I walked up next to James and answered for him.

"Alexis Davis." I said.

"Okay, we don't have any information yet, I'll go get the doctor." The lady stood up.

"Thank you." I said and sat back down.

James refused to calm down. He was yelling, pacing, but wasn't crying.

Finally the doctor came out.

"Davis?" The man said.

"That's us." James replied as he stopped pacing.

"Okay, well it looks like Alexis has some head injuries. Do you know what happened?" He asked.

"Uh, no. I think when our aunt came to get she she might of tripped on this one part of my floor." I lied because we all know what will happen if he we tell anyone what's really going on.

The doctor simply said okay and began to walk away.

"Wait!" James called after him.

"Yes?" The doctor turned around.

"When can we see her?" He asked.

"In about an hour." The doctor replied and walked off."

I decided to text Taylor from Lexis phone since I didn't have his number. He deserved to know what's going on.

Taylor, it's Julie. Lexi is in the hospital. She was at my house and her aunt showed up and did something to her. We get to go see her in about an hour so I'll keep you updated (:

I sent the text and slid her phone back into my purse. Taylor must've been busy because when he's not, he's always on his phone. All the guys are.

About thirty minutes later I feel a buzz and pull out her phone.

'iMessage from Babbeee😂💕'
Omg. Is she okay? Please tell me what happens I need to know. Thanks for telling me Julie.

I didn't respond. I put her phone back in her purse and walked up to James.

-30 minutes later-
We get to go see Lexi now. I hope she's okay.
We walk into her room and she's hooked up to more machines than we can count. There are wires all over her and it's hard to even look at her. It hurts so much to see her going through this. I wish I could've helped.

"This isn't your fault Julie. You know that right?" James asked as if he was reading my mind.

"I know. It's just that, if I would've answered the door this wouldn't be happening. It kind of is my fault." I said almost crying.

"No it's not Julie. They would've hurt her either way. You didn't do anything wrong." He said bringing me in for a hug.

"Thanks." I said now crying into his t-shirt.

I looked back up at her and walked closer to her bed. I put my hand on top of hers and told her she needs to stay strong. She has to fight through this.

James and I walk out of the room and down to the cafeteria to get something to eat. We haven't eaten yet since we rushed to the hospital. Once we got down there we both got our food and sat down. We ate our food and went back upstairs to visit Lexi.

We walked into the room and gave her a hug. But when I let go of her, all the machines started to go crazy and doctors started to run in. James and I were pushed out of the room. All we heard was..

"Clear! Shock!"
