Chapter Twelve

I woke up with a scream. It was only a dream. James was okay. He was still breathing. I was in the room alone. Other than James laying there sleeping. I decided to go to the cafeteria to get something to eat. I walked out of the room to be stopped by Julie.

"Dude where were you?" I asked her.

"Sorry. I had to go home for a little bit. Are you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost." She replied half laughing.

"Yeah I'm fine. Let's go get some food." I said while a started to walk away.

She followed me to the elevator and we stepped in. I pushed the first floor and we began to move. But my phone started to ring. 

I screamed.

"What? Lexi are you okay? Lexi?" She kept saying to me.

"ITS TAYLOR!" I said while still screaming a smiling.
I'm dating him and still fangirl twenty-four seven.

Phone Call. L-Lexi T-Taylor
L- Hey!!!
T- Hey Lex! Are you okay?
L- Yeah! I'm great now!! Haha.
T- Awh. I feel loved!
L- You are!
T- I love you so much. But Lexi. I have some news.
L- yeah?
T- I don't know if it's good.
L- TELL ME!!
T- I'm going to be in Sacramento in about two weeks. I know it's really far but I can get you in for free.
L- ARE YOU SERIOUS? OH MY GOD TAYLOR I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.
T- I love you too babe. I gotta go. I'll text you later okay?
L- Okay!!

By this time Julie and I were walking towards the Cafeteria and Julie asked me what all that was about. I explained everything. She wanted to go so I texted Taylor and asked if she could come. He didn't reply right away. He was probably busy. It's fine.

We made it to the cafeteria and we each choose our food. I got a slice of cheese pizza, strawberries, a water, and a chocolate cupcake. Julie got a piece of pepperoni pizza, a Coke, an apple, and cherry pie.
We each paid for our food and walked to an empty table. Soon after we sat down and began to eat our food we were getting bothered.
Two tall guys started to talk to us. One had brown hair and green eyes, the other had black hair and brown eyes.

"Hey baby." The one with brown hair said to me. I just sat there with a disgusted look.
The other one looked to Julie and started to talk to her.
"Babe, wanna go have some fun?

We both just ignored them and went on with our conversation. They kept calling us babe. Trying to get close to us. But I drew the line when the guy put his arm around me. I grabbed his hand, stood up and he smiled. But instead, I pulled his arm backwards. I used a martial arts move my brother had taught me for self defense.
I bent down and whispered in his ear.

"I'm not your babe. Call me that again and I'll break your arm." I stood up and let go.
"Now leave!" I yelled.
Julie had so much fear in her eyes. I knew she was petrified. She has always been afraid of situations like this. I walked over to her and told her it was okay.

We finished eating and walked back to the elevators. We went back up to James's room and he was awake. Just then the doctor walked in the room.

"Okay James. You see to be fairly stable. We're going to keep you over night to make sure."

"Okay." James replied.

Once the doctor left James looked at me and Julie.
"Julie, do you think Lexi could stay at your house tonight? I don't want her at home with them alone."

"Yeah! Of course. My parents love her!"
She replied smiling.

"Thanks Julie." He smiled and we walked off.

We walked to the parking lot and got into Julie's car. She lived about a half an hour away from the hospital so it wasn't a horribly long ride. It was about eight pm. The event for today should be over by now. But Taylor might be hanging out with the guys. Just when I thought that, my phone vibrated. It was Taylor.

"Yeah, I could get her in too. I'm Taylor Caniff. I'm gonna go chill with the boys so I'll talk to you tomorrow"

I didn't reply. I didn't feel that I needed to. We continued driving until we reached Julie's house. I stepped out of the car and we walked inside. Her parents were sitting right there but didn't even care I was there. They were pretty much my parents.

Julie and I walked upstairs and I told her Taylor could get her into Magcon for free and she was so excited to meet Shawn again. We didn't really talk much after that. We were on our phones all night. That's the kind of friendship we have. Suddenly, my phone started blowing up. Perfect.

I opened up Twitter and saw that Taylor had tweeted about me.
"Get to see this girl again in two weeks! Ily baby😍. @lexileedavis"

I was getting love and hate. Mostly hate though. Some of the tweets are actually pretty hurtful.

"@taylorcaniff @lexileedavis Why are you dating this bitch? She's ugly."

"@taylorcaniff @lexileedavis Lmao😂 Damn Tay. You went way to low. Desperate much?"

"@Taylorcaniff @lexileedavis Taylor, you need to stop dating this whore. She's prolly fucking some guy rn"

Ugh I hate this hate. But soon after I read some of the tweets Taylor tweeted again.

"I'm not going to stop dating Lexi because you guys are jealous. She beautiful and if you can't see that, that's your problem. @lexileedavis"

Taylor was amazing I don't know what I'd do without him. He's perfect.

"I'm going to sleep Lexi. Want a blanket?" Julie asked me looking up from her phone.

"Sure." I replied while plugging in my phone preparing to go to sleep.

Finally for the first time in a long time, I didn't want to cut. I felt amazing.
