Peeta POV- (Willow's First Christmas)

"Good morning." I hear Katniss speak softly to me as I open my eyes and glance down at her.

I smile tiredly.

"I see who ended up in our bed last night." I chuckle as I see Willow laying on Katniss's chest, comfortably sprawled out.

"Yes. She woke up around four so I just brought her in here with us." She yawns.

I give her a smile and Katniss returns it.

"Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas, Peeta." She tells me.

"Willow is going to love today."

She scoffs, "With as many toys as you bought her? Oh yeah."

I laugh, "It'll only get worse." I admit to not only Katniss but to myself.

"Oh, I already know."

"Oh well, she deserves it."

"I think so too. She's pretty well-behaved for being 10 months old."

"We definitely got lucky." I say truthfully.

Carter and Finn were really good babies but once they hit the age they started crawling, they were both big handfuls. Willow is ornery, no doubt about it, but she's really not into as much as I figured she would be.

I honestly expected a holy-terror.

Carter and Finn would get into anything and everything most days, the worst thing I think she had attempted was pulling bulbs off the Christmas tree. Which didn't last long because I scolded her for it, which she did not appreciate.

"We did." Katniss agrees. "I can't believe how big she's gotten. It doesn't even seem like a year ago that I was still pregnant with her." She says.

"It wasn't a year ago yet."

She makes a face, "Oh hush. You know what I mean."

"I know."

"Gosh, I love this." She says truthfully, passion aching in her voice.

And I know what 'this' refers to and I can't help but to feel the exact same way.

I close my eyes, "Me too." I say softly.

"I love you."

"I love you too." I mumble softly and poke her nose.

She gives me a somewhat sad smile and sighs.

"What time is it?"

"I think it's about 9."

I nod, "We better get up soon. I think we both got up earlier than this when we didn't have a baby."

"Yeah, I think so too." Katniss says with another yawn.

"Was she crying when you got her?"

She shakes her head, "No, she was just in there babbling away but I figured if I didn't go get her then she would start crying so I got her and she fell right back to sleep."

"That's good."

"Yup." Katniss says.

I sit up, "Should we have breakfast first?"

"Probably, because when she wakes up she will be hungry and not interested in anything else until she eats."

"I'll go make her a bottle to start with." I say, going downstairs.
