Skylers PoV

He's awake, I throw myself out of Jace's arms and hop into my brothers instead. "I'm so so sorry, I love you I would never pick anything or anyone over you, you know that but it's our mate and I can't help but put him in the same position in my heart as you-" he puts his hand over my mouth shutting me up. "Stop, relax, I get it now, just before I was attacked I was thinking and I realised that I was stupid. I panicked but didn't try to even find out anything about you, Jace." He says now looking at Jace.

"I know who you are now and I'm sorry, I hope you can forgive me. I didn't give you a chance to tell me your name but I was thinking and Dante's words came back to me and I came to the conclusion that it was you. From the way the two sets of twins talk about you, I know now that you are a good man and I feel like I can trust you to take care of me and my brother, if you still want me-" "hey I'll always want you, I get it. I know a bit about your past and I get how hard it must be for you to trust others, especially large men like me. Your ours and we're yours so no more running away, you can talk to me and I'll protect you with my mind body and soul for ever more" Jace tells him with such sincerity I feel tears build in my eyes. I look at Tyler and he's not holding back his tears, they are flowing freely down his cheeks.

Jace comes to the bed and wraps us both in his huge arms and it's only when I look over his shoulder do I notice we are alone, our cousins must have left when we started talking and I appreciate it. I sniff inhaling his scent and we all stay like that content in each other's embraces for a long while. Eventually there's a knock on the door "go away" Jace growls and we laugh at him. He looks adorably cute when he's all flustered like that, he pouts only making him more delicious "what, I want us to be alone for a while" he whines. "Babe, we've been alone for an hour. It's probably the doctor or some of the twins. We will be alone in our room later" Ty says.

Jace's face lights up "our room?" He questions. "Yes, our room, your stuck with us now and while I'm personally not ready to go meet your pack yet, I'm not leaving your side for a minute. You saved me and I need you and you too Sky." "That sounds like music to my ears precious, I am not letting either of you out of my sight. I don't know who tried to hurt you but I will find them and they will suffer for trying" Jace says with a very dark tone at the end.

"I was so scared but I knew that if I called for you you'd come and help me. I have a feeling this is not a random attack and it terrifies me. I don't want you to get hurt, either of you, but I can't go back to that torturous lifestyle either" I feel the same and I tell him "no, we won't ever go back to it we have Jace now hell protect us. We can discuss this later but for now, can we please let whoever is outside knocking, for the third time, in" they look like they didn't even realise the person was knocking and I laugh at their expressions.

I go to the door opening it and I'm pushed aside by Lucas "thank the goddess, I thought you guys would never let me in to see my cousin!" He says dramatically. "Hi Lucas" Ty says quietly. Lucas rushes over and hugs the life out of him busting past Jace as he goes. "And to think when I met you first you were shy and quiet. The power of having a couple of alphas mates eh!" Jace laughs. I'm surprised that he's allowing  Lucas hug Tyler so long but I realise it's because he's so close to the boys that he and his wolf know they are not a threat.

As usual if you find one of the fab four  the rest will follow and they do, in come Day, Tay and Luka "little one come here your squashing him" Day says. Lucas automatically leaves my bro and climbs up Damon, wrapping his arms around his neck and his legs around his waist, it his favourite position he told me and I quote "my Day is so comfy I never want to leave his arms so if I don't have to, I won't" and he sticks to his word, he's like a baby Koloa but it's cute.

The doctor comes in to check on Ty, I can see Jace getting antsy so I take a leaf out of Lucas' book and pull him to the chair next to the bed, then I climb into his lap and snuggle into his big chest. He places a soft kiss into my hair and we hear a laugh "oh how the mighty have fallen bro. Remember how big Jace would tease us about being whipped and being under a spell where our mates were concerned. Well look who's whipped now" Damon is really enjoying teasing Jace. "Shut up Day Day, I can still whip your ass and you know it" Jace retorts making Damon's three mates growl.

"Jeeze, chill you pack of pups. The doc is done I can go to our room now so let's go" Ty says, he makes to get up but the whole room shout "don't you move, hey stop, you'll hurt yourself, Jace carry him, bro be careful and stop right there" all at once. He just laughs and says "and to think I nearly missed out on all this love and protection".
