Chapter twenty

Skylers PoV

We decide that we are going to send out our trackers and warriors from both packs but we've kept the closest to us and best here for protection. Just as Damon goes to give the orders we hear the iPad receive an incoming Skype call. "Wait, answer that first you don't want to ignore things like this at the moment" Rory warns correctly. Damon picks it up and clicks to receive the call, when we look at it we see Jace beaten and tied to a chair he's struggling but he seems like he's been drugged because his movements are slow and wobbly.

I want to cry but I've done enough of that. I need to be strong it's my fault and I need to make it right. That's my motivation but I still visibly flinch when the man who wants me appears on the screen "take your hands off of my pet. Nobody touches what's mine" he demands of my cousins. "Shut up, do not talk to my mates that way" Dante warns in a commanding voice that makes me want to submit.

"Your pups will pay for touching him" Damon and Dante growl so loudly everyone in the room bares their necks, I notice Dimitri has too. "We will find you and we will kill you. You think you can take our best friend and threaten our family but worst of all you dare threaten our mates your a foolish man and I will enjoy killing you" Damon tells him in the most serious tone I've ever heard in my life. The stupid idiot looked like he was going to wet himself so he hung up.

The twins are growling and pacing and even after all we've been through its one of the scariest things I've ever seen. Luka and Lucas are the only ones unaffected and leave me to make their way over to them. It's like magic within minutes they have calmed them down to a normal alpha level and after another few minutes they have relaxed enough for us to stop submitting to them. Lucas kisses Dante just as the other pair start to and that finally breaks the tension in the room.

"Sorry guys, we meant to threaten him not you, we're calm again" Damon speaks again. Nobody needs to reply they know we understand the mate bond. Even thinking the word mate send a feeling of despair through me and I walk over to Ty for comfort. "Alpha, I hope you don't see this as a sign of disrespect but I've contacted alphas Keith and Parker" Mason says with his head bowed. "No that's good work thank you Mason, we need their help. What did they say?" Dante asks him.

"They agreed to come personally with twenty warriors each, with their help we should find-" he's cut off by Ty "I know where he is, that's alp- I mean Peters log cabin it's on the edge of his lands just at the human border. It should take about three hours to get there in wolf form" "good work Ty" complements Luka. The others look relieved to know where he is but I'm still nervous about it. I'll just trust them, it's about all I have right now. 

"Ok there is no waiting on this, sky, Ty are you coming or staying" "coming" both of us answer immediately. "Thought so, anyway I have a human friend who has a cabin up there we can leave you and our mates there, no argument boys none of you are fighting. If something happened to you Jace would murder us and you two, just no" Dante continues pointing at his mates. The twins look ready to explode but they are grabbed swiftly and taken into the next room, most likely to have it out with their mates alone.

Ten minutes later they return and the alphas are looking thoroughly scolded, if it wasn't this situation I'd probably laugh at them but finally Parker the alpha of the second largest pack and Keith alpha of the fourth arrive and we can leave. We take three hundred warriors and move out. Everyone shifts and follows Damon and Dante, it takes the three full hours but we arrive undetected and go into a log cabin fit to be a pack house this friend of theirs must be very rich.

The plan is to ambush Dimitri's rouges at sunrise hopefully he'll be dumb enough to assume we wouldn't have travelled this late at night and we wouldn't be arriving until the some time tomorrow. It's now eleven thirty at night so the alphas want everyone to rest, many have to share rooms and beds but don't mind at all. Tyler and I go to a small room that only has a single bed and it looks to be a little girls room but we don't care it's not like we're staying there anyway.

Damon's PoV

I hear it the front door closing ever so quietly and I knew I'd be right, unfortunately 'OK, everyone I was right lets give them a five minute start and then put the plan into action' 'yes alpha' all members from each pack answers. I look around the room at everyone, our mates, Tim and his mates, Parker, Keith and Jace's beta Marco and his mate are all here. We told the twins we would sleep in the large cinema room and they believed it because there are just enough loungers to fit us in here.

"Well we can stop pretending to be asleep those two little brats did exactly what I said they would" I tell them. "Be fair Damon would you have waited six hours to find your mates?" Parker asks. "No he wouldn't that's how he knew Skyler and Tyler would sneak out" replies Dante. Ah my bro knows me to well. "Times up, move out" I say to them and to the others through the link.

We catch the boys scents and take off, we knew this would happen so I have them surrounded. I sent half the warriors out earlier knowing the boys were too upset to notice, the other half are with us and we are only minutes behind them. They are so distracted by the need to find him they're not even aware we are here, how did they think they would make it alone. I can't judge because if it was me I wouldn't have even stopped at Ricks cabin.

The cabin is fifteen minutes from the one he's in so I'm guessing they're arriving there now. They will be in the clear right up to his cabin because our wolves took out the ones he had on patrol, I did this to allow the boys a chance to speak their mind and say what they need to to that scum.I tell the pack to hurry because I want them to give it a go but I don't want them in danger alone for long.
