Jace's PoV

We finally are able to realise our hold on Tyler. "Doc what the fuck just happened to my mate?" I growl out "you just fucking told us he could be brought here and not five seconds after we get here he begins blanking out. Then he started shaking, crying and was unresponsive until we called you. Then the second we touch him he freaked out so much you had to sedate him. You better have answers or my wolf will be pissed and you do not want that" I'm ready to shift.

I feel tiny fingers wrap around my own and then a small hand hold onto my arm, I look down and see the worst expression on Skylers face. It's like he needs to be near me but he's half afraid because of how worked up I am. I pull him into my chest "I'm sorry, anger is not going to help, we've just been through so much, in such little time, my wolf is annoyed. I will keep my cool tiny mate I promise" I coo in his ear. "O..o.k, thank you".

The doctor tells us "alpha, Luna, I think your mate had a small psychotic break. The stress of everything he's been through has been triggered in his mind. Luna Skyler you said he zones out from time to time and becomes blank, yes?" Sky says "yes, he wouldn't answer me when he gets like that and has a determined but frightened look on his face but it was ever like what we just saw. I'm so worried is he going to be ok?"

"I think he's suffering from p.t.s.d, that's post traumatic stress disorder. He's had so many things happen to him that anything small could have triggered this attack today. It's like he gets lost in the memories of the bad times, he'll start out remembering things until his mind tricks him into thinking he's back there for real. I presume that he was in the midst of remembering something physical because of his reaction when we touched him. It's treatable with therapy but it takes some time. For now let him sleep, if he's reacting normally when he wakes just act the same but call me because I need to discuss this with him as I'm trained to do so. We can't be sure that if you tell him you won't say anything that might trigger an attack ok. I'll leave now please link me when he's awake"

The doctor leaves us and I can feel my tiny mate sobbing in my arms, I know he blames himself and it's hard for him not to with the way Tyler kept shouting his name over and over, but it's not his fault. We simply sit and watch him for a little while each caught up in our own thoughts, both worried about our precious mate. I rub my thumb up and down Sky's spine in comfort and when I notice he's asleep I put him into the bed. I watch him curl into Tyler and sit there staring until I hear Marco through the link 'Alpha, you need to eat can I bring up food. Also my mate is worried sick about our Luna, he has requested to join me for at least a couple of minutes'.

'What does your mate want with mine? Do you not find this weird how overprotective he his of him. I know my wolf is not happy with this situation, find out before you bring him here' I tell him. This fucking wolf took it upon himself to become a guardian to my mate and I need to know why, it's not just everyday a wolf takes on this role so there needs to be a reason. Not ten minutes later I hear Marco again 'alpha, he requested to explain in person if that's ok with you and Luna Skyler' fucking hell, when is this shit going to end. 'Ok but he better make it quick'.

I close the link. A few minutes later I know they're here 'don't knock and wake them, just come in' I say through the link. Damon is with them "hi how is he, my mates are beside themselves with worry, the doc told us something else has happened" he says. I explain what the situation is and the docs diagnosis.

Nick growls and I'm on my feet in an instant "right, I've fucking had it with you. He's our mate why are you growling?" He flinches but doesn't back down, which is impressive but I'm not in the mood to give a shit. "After my twin brother died, was killed, I had nothing to live for so I went to the cliffs at the edge of the next territory. I wanted to die that da-" he's cut off by a vicious growl and is swooped into Marcos arms immediately. I can't blame him it's heartbreaking to hear. "No mate,no harm yourself, no die" Marcos wolf has come to the surface, "no I won't do it again, let me finish telling my story hun, I'm going nowhere. I love you" he soothes his mate. It's weird to see a man with such a build being swept up like that and being so submissive but Marcos huge so it works.

He does let him down but not out of his arms but the normal colour is returning to his eyes so we know his wolf is receding allowing him to hear the rest of the story. He nods and Nick continues "as I was standing there sobbing I was visited by the moon goddess" we are surprised but not shocked, she will come to wolves to give them a special task or warning if they are important enough so I'm starting to calm down.

"She told me that "of all the hurt wolves, one has suffered more than others and there was nothing anyone could do to help him and his brother at the time. He was hurt more in order to save the innocence inside his brother. Everything has a purpose and as hard and unfortunate as this tale is, it also has a purpose, this won't be revealed to you because it's nothing you need to hear".

"She went on to tell me my part, she said that the brothers will split and I will need to be there to help the hurt one, it will only be after this spilt I would realise who the wolf was, I didn't even think it was Tyler and Skyler. She told me that, from that moment on I was to be his protector, she said I need to help him keep himself and his brother safe. His soul and wolf are connected to mine in an ancient ritual called "the linking". This allows us to have a connection close to mates but never as strong in the areas of love or affection, I would be able to sense danger and hurt from him faster and stronger than anyone else, that's how I knew those rouges were in the house. It's also" he looks at me "how I know that someone's planning on hurting him and Skyler and it was a planned attack. I swear I have only his best interest at heart and I will try to rein in my wolves instinct in front of you but I need to keep him safe. I still don't know why or what the moon goddess wants with him but I feel he needs to fulfil a purpose and it will be revealed in time".

Now I need to worry about who is out to get them but at least I know the moon goddess is on our side and she sent Nick to help my mates. It's a comfort but not enough "thank you for telling us this, you don't need to rein in your wolf, I expect you to be on full alert, if this was tasked to you I want you to do it right. I didn't know it was you who saved him from being taken by the rouges so thank you again for that, I accept your help" he stands tall and proud at my acceptance and Marco looks at me "I will stand with my mate in all things concerning your mates alpha" I nod knowing he would always have my back.

"You know you have our help Jay, your family and now our family has bonded even more nobody will get to them again. I do think you and your pack should move here for the foreseeable future, you will still have full rein over your pack but there's safety in numbers,what do you think, there is plenty of forest and plenty of houses. Some families will have to share or stay at Parkers land, it's totally up to you" Damon offers. "I would take you up on your offer but I need to speak to the boys first, ok. I don't make decisions alone anymore" Damon just laughs "oh don't I know it, just let us know" with that they all leave, leaving me alone with my thoughts and two sleeping mates.
