Chapter twenty four

Skylers PoV

Crash.... I wake to the sound of something banging, immediately I think it's more trouble and I shake Jace and Tyler. "Guys somethings going on, I heard a crash" just as Jace becomes alert we hear another crash followed by a shout "for fuck sake Damon, are you crazy he'll kill us all" Luka shouts at him. "Stay here I'll go check what's happening" Jace tells us but I panic, after the fright of thinking he was going to leave us yesterday I am not leaving his side for anything or anyone "no, no, no, your not leaving us we just got you back" I whimper and his face softens. "I told you precious, I was just mad not leaving but I understand that your wolf is feeling a bit sensitive so I'll link the guys-" he doesn't need to because Damon rapidly knocks on our hospital room door and enters without waiting for permission.

"Shit, I'm dead" he says running his hands through his hair. "What's happening, why are you so unnerved" Jace asks from the bed. I can tell he really wants to get up but we won't let go so he's trying to relax for our sakes. "Oh I did it now man, the ultimate sin and I'm in trouble for it" "for fuck sake Damon I can leave this bed, tell me what the fuck is happening out there" Jace says through gritted teeth trying not to get angry and scare us, he's such a good mate. "It was just a joke but it went wrong and he won't forgive and forget this one, shit, shit, fuck" Damon rants.

Now I'm getting impatient "just tells us, we can help" I say. "Good goddess, don't go out there, you'll be killed" he tells me. Jace growls at him, Damon puts his hands up and says "ok, ok, calm down big guy. Right I wanted to prank Luka because he stuck gum in my hair, he might have done it because I put sugar in his coffee but still gum in the hair is too much, have you seen my beautiful hai-" "for fuck sake Damon" Jace is getting angry now. I am amused this big bad alpha is panicking over some prank, it's hilarious.

"Anyway, I snuck into our room this morning with a bucket of water, in my defence it was only a small bucket but well, em, I got Lucas not Luka" he spits out the last part quickly. "Shit" I say at the same time Ty says "oh no!" "So?" Jace asks. We all look at him like he's insane and he returned the look not understanding at all. I explain "you do not wake Lucas in the morning unless your his twin or mates. Even then they have to coax him gently and listen to his death threats, so just imagine the trouble Damon is in" realisation dawns on his face and being the good best friend he is he bursts out laughing at Damon's pain "oh crap, your so dead" "fuck off dude, you haven't seen him-"

"I can smell your fear Damon Heart, you better be scared" we hear outside our hospital door just as a very wet, very pissed off Lucas bursts through it. Jace is not laughing now. "Babe, please, I'm sorry I thought-" "oh no you didn't, you didn't think at all" Lucas says and he charges at his huge mate, just as Damon takes off. I am doing everything in my power not to laugh and so are my bro and mate because, while this is the funniest thing ever, we don't want that little spitfire to turn on us so we hold it in. At this stage Damon is squeaking like a little girl and ducking Lucas' tiny death grip.

Luka and Dante run into the room and it's like watching a circus, Damon's ducking Lucas while Lucas ducks the other two, each one shouting different things. I can't help it, I burst out laughing, I laugh so hard there are tears running down my face. They all stop to look at me "you.. guys.. ha.. ha.." I say while pointing and they all look at one another before they burst out laughing with me. The whole room is filled with laughter for the first time in a long time and I love it.

Lucas comes over to me and we calm down, he hugs me and says "Damon Heart, you better be thankful my cousin is feeling good enough to laugh or you wouldn't be walking straight right now. Oh and no sex for a week" with that said he gets up and leaves. "What! Babe nooo, I'd rather not walk straight, come on babe, please..." We hear Damon whining as he follows him out of the room. Dante throws his hands up and says "children, the whole lot of them!" He and Luka then follow the others. 

I feel Jace stroke my face lightly, I look up and he's giving me a loving look "I love you so much and I love seeing you laugh like that. I'm sorry about everything that's happened but we are free from the bad stuff now" he turns to Ty "I love you just as much and I want you both to know that, whenever your ready, we have our own beautiful pack lands waiting for us. I will wait as long as you both want, I don't want you to feel rushed into leaving here I know it's your home" I look at Ty and we both nod knowing what the other is thinking.

We get up from the bed and our poor mate looks like he's going to pass out as he sits up at the edge of the bed "I'm sorry, I wasn't trying-" "shh, big man it's ok" I tell him. We hold hands and kneel in front of him we take a hand each in our free hand and say "we would love to move to our pack lands, our home with you but we want to get married here first, so, will you marry us?".
