Chapter 21

Now that I was at home, or more likely, at my imprisonment because of the vampires, I parted ways with Subaru who went off to who knows where. Since I was here, Yui's image appeared in my mind. I needed to go talk to her.

With that motivation, I headed for her room upstairs. When I arrived, Yui was sitting on her bed, staring at her rosary. Thank goodness she was still awake. And fine.

Upon entering the room, she noticed me and stood up immediately. "Kuromi-san," she said in relief. "You're back. You took some time to come home.."

"Yeah, I did something on my way here so I had a bit of a delay," I scratched my cheek as I referred to what Subaru and I did. "Anyways, when I went to the nurse's office, you were no where in sight. Why is that?" Swiftly changing topic, I asked her the question that's been stuck in my mind for the day, or rather, night.

"Ah...Well.." At first she stuttered, showing how nervous was to answer my question. But then she managed to say it. "Ayato-kun forced me to come home..."

I knew it....

"Ah...I figured much..." I nodded, crossing my arms. "That bastard is so annoying, I swear," I uttered that to myself just so it wouldn't be audible enough for Yui to hear.

"What ever happened, I can already guess ," walking to her, I allowed myself to sit beside, placing my hands on the bed and crossing my legs. An awkward silence quicked in the time I no longer spoke.

That's odd...

"So...uhm...Kuromi-san, where did you go after going to the roof top? You did say you had a delay," Yui turned head to look at me as she asked such a question. I couldn't help but widen my eyes slightly and feel my cheeks heated up while processing what to say. I just realized...

I actually had an indirect kiss Subaru because I made him eat the same crepe I ate.....How did I not notice that earlier?!

"Kuromi-san?" Yui called out to me, obviously waiting for my response. "You're face is red..Is there something wrong?" Worried, she asked another question after noticing the light blush on my cheeks.

"Well...uhm...T-This is nothing," I smiled a bit, kind of stuttering at the first part. I then cleared my throat and took a deep breath to retain my composture. "So...I was Subaru that time, since I saw him in the city. Then...we had crepes before heading home.."

There is absolutely no way I am telling her we shared it and I encouraged him to eat it. No way.

"You had...crepes with Subaru? Really?" Yui seemed surprised and she so looks like she doesn't believe. This is Subaru I was hanging with earlier.

"Yeah...It's unbelievable, right? But yeah, its all true. Nothing false." I nonchalantly said, my cheeks finally cooling down.

"So you really did..." She nodded, looking down, fideling with her rosary.

Unconsciously, I stood up all of the sudden, catching Yui' attention as I said, "I should go to my room now, I still have to go and change." I then waved goodbye to her and she did the same before smiling warmly at me. Heading for the door, I said my last goodbye before leaving the room.

As I walked the huge and empty hallways to my room, my brain started to think once again.

That was strange...It was so quiet between the two of us... Something other than a drinking session happened with Ayato for sure....Geez, he's such a problem in my life and Yui's.

As soon as I reached my room, I entered it and grabbbed my clothes and towel to take a bath in the bathroom. It's for the sake of feeling refreshed before I head to bed. I am really exasperated in the moment honestly.

So tiring.... I need a bath~

And with that main thought, I walked into the bathroom which was thankfully connected my room so I wouldn't have to walk so far just for taking a bath. Then I begun to have a refreshing time for myself.
