Chapter 20

"Here, take a bit of this," I offered, holding a wrapped crepe in front of Subaru, who seemed confused. "Hah? Why do I have to eat this?" He stubbornly replied, denying my offer.

"Just eat it already," I impatiently demanded, holding it a little nearer to his mouth.

Right now, we are in a park, sitting on one of the park benches, supposedly eating crepes. Since he mentioned the term, hungry, I dragged him out of the alleys and to a crepe seller. I thought that if I wanted to be free from his bites, I had to give him some human treats. The good ones, of course.

So far, he is being hard-headed about tasting the delicious fruit crepe I chose since he wouldn't try it. It irritates me honestly.

Geez, I want to shove this down in his mouth so badly. He.won't.take.a.bite.of.this.sweet.delight.

"You do know I am a vampire, right? Even though we eat human food, we still prefer blood no matter what." He stated, obviously still ticked off. It was a good thing there weren't much people at this time so nobody really heard him say that other than me.

"For the love of--! Just take a bite already!...Please?" I almost lost my patience and when I realized that, I had to be a bit polite, just so we won't create an argument. A long one.

My arm is getting tired from holding this up for him to eat it.

Subaru didn't say anything after that. He seemed like he was thinking a bit that time. It was taking time for him to decide.

"You know what, I'm not going to ask anymore, I'm hungry so--" As I lowered my arm slightly, he grabbed my wrist and took a bite of the crepe. His cheeks were tainted by a faint color of red; he was blushing.

I kinda noticed that blush which I know is the reason why my cheeks heated up a bit. He just seemed cute blushing as he bit off a chunk of the crepe. Such a tsundere.

What am I thinking? Cute??? Like seriously??? But I guess he kind of is cute. since his mom was the same-- Wait, what?

"What do you think? Want another bite?" I asked, my wrist still in Subaru's hand. He was still eating the chunk. Most probably he is savoring it. Not till then he swallowed it.

"Guess it's not entirely bad..." He complimented, the blush on his cheeks growing a tad bit more as he averted his eyes away from me. It made my lips hang in one corner. I was kind of smiling.

He's really like a normal tsundere guy and not a sadistic vampire one. It makes me feel all......light inside.

"So, want some more or I'll eat it?" I repeated the second thing I said earlier but in a different way. Of course the other tries to deny that he wants more.

"Th-There is no way I would want more! I just said it wasn't as terrible as I thought it would be after trying it. Absolutely no way!" He was still blushing and he lets go of my wrist so I was able to rest my arm on my lap. The crepe is held properly so it wouldn't just drop out of my hand.

"Sure, it's up to you. I'm pretty hungry so I'm taking a bite," I said, holding the crepe with two hands so I could eat the crepe. When I did, I savored it so the sweet taste would last a while longer.

And before I knew it, Subaru took another a bite. It surprised me a bit.

And he said he doesn't want another bite.

"I thought you don't want it anymore," I said, almost in a teasing manner.

"I-I actually couldn't get the taste that much s-so I ate another, j-just to take it in more."

Reasons. Reasons. Just be honest, Subaru. You liked it and now you crave it.

I took another bite and ate it before speaking to retaliate his answer. "If you want some more just tell me, no need to hide your craving for it."

And then he stood up, the redness of cheeks still there are he said, "I said it was just to taste it even further! I don't want any!" And he stomped off.

Of course, I followed him, while continuing to eat the crepe.

Stubborn guy...

But that's what makes him adorable--Again?! Seriously? What's up with this stupid mind of mines?!

Able to catch up to him, I slowed the pace of my walking a bit, still eating the crepe which was half way finished. Obviously, Subaru noticed that since I was beside him as we walked. He looked liked he REALLY wants the rest.

Although I would like to finish all for myself, I gave it to him,cracking up a small smile. "Here have it. You seem like you really desire this treat. And also, don't even think about retaliating."

And with that, I successfully managed to make him eat it with no complaints. "Argh! Fine, I'll eat! Damnit.." he said before taking a bite. I swear his blush hasn't gone away yet. He must really feel embarrassed at the moment.

After all that Subaru drama, we went home together side by side, chatting a bit here and there.

It isn't actually all that bad to be with Subaru...And I realized that today..,

That whole time, I felt like smiling like when I was younger from this little event...
