Chapter 4

A shocked expression is what appeared on my face. I could have never imagine she would be a sacrificial bride.

Wait.. That sounds...familiar...

"A sacrificial bride... I'd guess you have to sacrifice yourself to them..right?" I guessed before standing up. "Yes."

Go figure..

"Hey, Yui, why are you a sacrificial bride?" I asked with a slight glimpse of curiousity in my voice then when I look at Yui, she seemed to be spacing out. I think she didn't hear me. It couldn't be..

And I had to make her run....

I felt a bit guilty for doing that so I tapped my hand on her shoulder and as soon as she looked at me with those tired dark pink eyes of hers, I reached my hand out for her. "Lets head back, you need to rest."

Yui nooded as she took my hand and then I pulled her up slowly and carefully. We soon walked togather into the mansion but as soon as we get there, I felt people watching us and I can tell what they are so I took Yui's hand and walked quickly to the living room, where I think they'll show themselves.

"Wh-What's wrong, Kuromi-san?"

"Oi! Show yourselves!" I demanded to them loud and clear. They then appeared in front of us and I glared at the while extending my left arm to cover and protect Yui.

My calcutions were right....

"The Sakamaki brothers..." I murmur to myself softly in a low voice so it won't reach to anyone's hearing.

"No wonder I could smell another human," said the one with yellow orange hair who seemed really sleepy.

"Ufufu~ So the sweet smell this time is not from bitch-chan, hm~?"

I felt a shiver ran down my spine when I heard a voice that was deep and playful in terms of his tone, come from my right. I look towards that direction and saw a young man who had brown hair and emerald eyes.

"As sweet as candy, " said Kanato while holding his bear to himself.

Hearing them talk about blood made me feel sick but not as in puking sick, just unhappy sick. It makes remember stuff. I'm not sure why though.

"I...I--"

"Ah! You!"

"Hm?'

"You're the one who disturbed yours truly's meal!" I facepalmed before sighing deeply when I heard Ayato say that.

How Annoying...

"Yeah..?....So what? It's not like she's yours," I said as I rolled my eyes from irritation. "Actually, she was never even yours or rather, to you goddamn vampires at all!" I continued as I pointed at all of them while holding Yui's wrist.

"But you're just a human. A normal and weak human, what can you do?" Said the one with eyeglasses and midnight blue-ish purple hair.

"What can I do as a human, you say," I rephrased his question as I looked down thinking:

What can I do? What should I do? I'm just a mere human and theyre vampires so in other words, they are immortal. It won't be easy.. But..

"I know I am weak and simple mortal who can't beat immortals but... I will do anything to keep her safe, after all, we are the same! We're both HUMAN!!" I exclaimed with a slight glimpse of pride, knowing the fact I can't beat them.

But I have to do it...

"If that's so... Why not live here?"

I blinked when I heard the lazy-looking one said those words. I was quite shock and surprised so I look at him with a confused look on my face.

"What are you talking about, Shuu?" the glasses said towards him.

So that's his name...

Shuu looks back at me as I still stare at him with that face. He then walks towards me but stops after we are 5 feet apart.

"Let's see if she can prove that she can protect Yui. And--"

"So, you want that human to live here?!" Said the silverish white haired guy with the obvious irritated look on his face but Shuu ignored him and continued, "See if she can also protect herself at the same time.."

"Heh~ So she will serve as another sacrificial bride~? Ufufu~ Seems interesting~"

"Alright then, I WILL prove it to you all!! You will all see that I can be strong as a the so-called weak human!" I stated with determination in my eyes while Yui looked at me worried.

Before I knew it, I just made my life much more tiresome...

What have I gotyen myself into?
