Aisha's POV

The fact that I was in Paris was making me so happy. The idea that I'm in the city of love makes me think of my teenage years when I would think about coming here with my special someone - but the only special someone I'll be seeing here will be my work overloaded schedule!

I stood at the airport money exchange counter as the cashier handed me some Euros. I counted the number of notes and carefully placed them with my emergency cash. I was hoping to contact Zain's mum who was back in Pakistan that I was safely here but then I realised that my phone wasn't on roaming. I rushed towards the arrival gates where a stranger stood with my name written in bold on a white board. He politely greeted me and took my luggage as I seated myself in the taxi.

I rushed into my hotel room as I swiftly changed my clothes to get ready for the conference. It's such a big opportunity for me in terms of career prospect that in a way I was glad that my colleague was ill - trust me, I felt awful at the thought. There would be so many businesses looking to invest in my company and it all depended on my presentation. Our rival companies had somehow found out that our lead speaker was ill and thus they seemed quite joyful at the occasion. I applied a bit more mascara than usual- cause that's the only thing you do when you've been awake for 24 hours and people seem to think that you're dozing off. Using the hotel Wi-Fi, I quickly Whatsapped Sonia informing her that I was safe and sound in Paris. I looked at the watch on my wrist as I heard the door swing open.

"I honestly don't care who he is, Sir. He may be well known but he's just another equal individual here . You can not ask me to live in the same room as some other guy."

"Aisha, I get what you're trying to say but we are overbooked for the conference and we don't have any spare rooms."

"I'm sorry but that's not my problem. The conference finishes at 5 and I want all this sorted." And I walked out just like that.

I turned right from the corridor only to be pulled by the arm. In that moment of panic, I found myself forced against the wall. His hands leaving a lasting impression on my arms.

"What the hell are you doing here?"

Zain's POV

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked her as she acted to be surprised.

"Zain? You're here? I thought you were....."

"Enough! Aisha Enough! Why can't you leave me alone? I came here because of my work and you could've even leave me then? For God's sake, it hasn't even been 24 hours since I left Karachi." I thought I was shouting but it was more like whispering loudly because of where we were.

I was tempted to say more but the sound of footsteps started getting louder. I immediately released Aisha from my capture and turned around to face another unfamiliar figure.

"Hey! Aisha, We're getting late. Let's go!" Without uttering anything else, she passed a keen smile to the unknown guy (A smile that I yet hadn't had the opportunity to see) and walked down the corridor. As I walked down to the conference hall, I couldn't help but think who this gentleman was. Aisha might've come here to meet him? Besides what could be a better place than Paris to meet your lover?

The presentations kept on happening one after the other while I kept thinking about this new character in our lives - He was probably the guy who gave her that heart necklace. I felt a tiny bit guilty for non being attentive because at the end of the day I had to finalise the companies that we were going to invest in. My attention automatically focused on the speaker as I saw Aisha on the stage. WHAT THE HELL IS SHE DOING ON THE STAGE? I questioned myself as of I was supposed to know the answer.
