After many seconds of silence, Lauren spoke.
"How am I going to help you?", she had an erie feeling that she knew what he would say but she hoped he wouldn't.
"I need help to escape.", and as she hoped he wouldn't he asked anyways.
"How in the world and I going to help you escape. I could barely escape from classes in school, let alone help someone who is chained to a shelf in a cellar!"
"I have a plan. It is not all that good, but nevertheless a plan." He looked at her calmly.
"Wait you, have a plan?", she said joking.
"Jeez, I didn't realize you thought I was that stupid", he said with his voice dripping with sarcasm.
"You aren't stupid. It's just that if I was in your position, I wouldn't have a plan", Lauren said with her face suddenly serious. "Let's get to that plan of yours then, I guess.", she said a bit hesitantly.
