Chapter twelve

Emma's P.O.V.

I laid on the red bed in the comic room and John entered to talk to me.

The moment the new HOH was crowned I felt my heart break into a million little pieces. Steve had just told us that he can't keep us both together in the game. John and I are going up on the block for sure.

"John" I cried out putting my arms around him "you were so close to beating him, you forced a tie breaker and you almost had it."

"I am so sorry I let you down, I don't deserve to win the game I'm going to do everything in my power this week to make sure your the one out of the two of us that stays."

"We still have hope, even if he puts both of us up if one of us wins the veto, we have the soul vote to evict and we save the other."

"Emma." He said "you are a genius, how do you think so in depth like that, your always one move ahead."

"Do you know how many times I could have beaten Steve at chess, he makes so many dumb moves, I always let him win so he thinks I'm not as smart as I am."

"I bet you can't beat me at chess, lady."

"Quit calling me lady!" I said "it makes me feel old."

"I call everyone lady! What's up lady!" He touched my waist and flirted with me.

"John!" I said "we get to sleep in the same bed now! No more secrets, no more hiding, no more being afraid."

"What do you think Austin is going to tell everyone on the jury."

"I know, oh my gosh none of them will see it coming that we have been in a showmance this long, we hid it so well."

Just as we were about to get ready for bed Liz came in to talk to us.

"John you almost had that!" She said "I was so angry that Steve won, we needed to get him out."

"It's every man for himself at this point." John said "we know one of us is going home."

"I don't know about that." She said "I would think Steve would keep you two over me regardless of your showmance but anything could happen, we have nominations and veto all happening as soon as we wake up tomorrow, get some rest guys."

"Where are you sleeping."

"I want to give you guys some privacy so I'm gonna sleep in the.."

"No." I said to her. "we can all have a sleep over its not a big deal, we don't need privacy."

"Okay." She said "good cause I didn't want to be alone, I miss Austin so much it hurts."

I could feel John beside me rolling his eyes and I cleared my throat.

"I am going to sleep, goodnight." John said sounding ticked off as he rolled over under the covers.

"Goodnight Liz." I said getting under the covers with him.

"See you in the morning where Steve gets to decide all of our fates."
