Chapter eighteen

Emma's P.O.V.

I couldn't believe that John couldn't keep that but if information to himself. We have been in here too long and I am at my wits end with being on this emotional roller coaster of 'he said she said.' Right now I have to save my butt with Liz and the jury and I will fix things with Steve later.

"Liz, you know I could never have sent you out, your my girl." I said "but in order for me to save you Austin had to go."

"So break up me and my boyfriend so that you and your boyfriend could ride smoothly on to the finals, nice." She said slightly pissed off.

Julie came back on screen and we all pretended not to be mad at each other.

"Houseguests, it is now time for the eviction ceremony. John, as the soul voter to evict in this weeks surprise double eviction, may you please stand at the front of living room."

He nodded and stood in front of us.

"Emma and Liz, you each have one chance to sway John into keeping you in the game, Emma you are first."

I stood up confused by how today has turned out. What started as a lie and then a joke has turned into none of us wanting to even speak to one another.

"John." I started "it is obvious that I want you to save me but I don't want to stand up here and campaign against the one other person who stood by me this whole game, Liz I love you, you are a great person inside and out and I hope that whatever this game has recently done to our friendship, that you will have my back when this is all said and done. Also, hi Mom, Dad, Nathan and Buddy." I felt it necessary to let my parents, my twin brother and my dog that I'm missing them.

"Liz, your turn." Julie said

Liz stood up and grabbed my hand.

"Emma." She said "I know that love is greater than any other feeling in the world. John, use the veto to save Emma, and Emma, I love you, we are sisters for life. I'm sorry that I believed there was a possible way to get me to stay this week. I knew better and I have nothing against you guys."

She squeezed my hand and then let go awaiting her fate.

"John." Julie said "your turn. Please cast your soul vote to evict."

"Well, guys.. This has been a weird day. I'm sorry Liz, but ya gotta go." He said pointing his thumb backwards toward the door.

Liz rolled her eyes and nodded. She hugged me and said good luck and then fake hugged the boys and was out the door.

Steve, John and I stood by the memory wall and watched her picture fade.

"Steve." I said "John was just saying that to get her goat." I said referring to Johnny's earlier comment that got everyone flustered.

"I know." Steve said "I was trying to play along for your sake."

"Thanks Steve." John laughed nervously.

"Guys!" I said "group hug, come on. We made it!"

We all jumped up and down with excitement and then got ready for the first part of the HOH competition, which we knew would be endurance and could possibly last all night long.
