Chapter seventeen

John's P.O.V.

Two minutes after I talked to Liz Emma came charging into the room.

"Do you and Steve have a a secret alliance?" She whispered to me.

"I have never done anything in this game that you don't know about."

"I thought so. I just didn't expect Liz to lie to me like that. Did she think that even if we were mad at each other you wouldn't still chose me?"

"She came in here asking me if there was a chance I'd save her. She said America will hate me for letting you beat me."

"Well, she doesn't know how close we actually are, for the fun of it lets play along."

"What did she say that I did with Steve?"

"That you had this huge plan to get me out and that she even knew your guys' alliance name... The nerdmance."

I started laughing so hard.

"Shh!" She said "Lets be mad at eachother, and tonight after the HOH competition I promise we can cuddle."

I walked out of the room and toward the kitchen. Emma was behind me nagging about stuff that didn't make sense but it was part of her plan.

"I don't believe you!" She said to me.

"What is there not to believe?" I yelled at her "Oh my gosh. You are going crazy if you keep this up, you'll be the one to leave tonight, your getting on my nerves."

We spoke loud enough that Steve and Liz came rushing in.

We didn't want Steve to get involved so I was careful not to mention him.

"What's going on?" He said "is everything all right?"

"No, Steve" Emma said

** "Houseguests, please make your way to the couches, the show is starting in 10 minutes." **

The producers called us to the living room.

Emma gave me a pretend dirty look as I grabbed the veto off the wall and put it around my neck.

We all sat down. None of us saying a word.

"What are you gonna do?" Steve whispered.

"I don't even know Steve." I snapped.

It was hilarious. I was thoroughly enjoying myself about how awkward things were getting.

Julie came on the screen and I happily stood up to announce live on television that I would be using the veto to save myself.

"Liz, since there are no other options for a replacement, you must go up in John's place." Julie spoke.

Liz stood up and walked over to the chair I got out of and she looked like she was in pain or confused. I'm sure the viewers were wondering what was going on as well.

As soon as there was a commercial, I stood up and made out with Emma in front of Steve and Liz.

"Now I'm very confused." Steve said

"I can't stand you." I kissed her some more laughing a little.

"Guys, stop-uh!" Liz said "I am sorry that I lied. I know you know I lied, I was just desperate to start something."

"Liz you were my bestfriend, you had no reason to do that, Johnny and I are so much closer than you obviously think. I've been close with him for 10 weeks now, I know that we have each others backs. You lied to me and we thought it would be funny to play along."

"I'm staying out of this." Steve said

"No one asked you Steve." Emma joked.

"Emma want to hold hands during eviction?"

"Sure, Liz. I still am so sad to see you leave."

I couldn't tell if Emma was lying or not but I couldn't stop myself from speaking.

"Nice try though, do you lie to Austin like that too? Oh wait yeah that's the reason he went to jury. Emma was never going to send you out, all you had to do was tell Emma that you wanted him to stay and she was gonna send Steve out."

"I knew it" Steve said

"What?" Liz darted her eyes at Emma.

Emma glared at me looking like she was ready to attack me.
