Wednesday Part Two

Losing a best friend doesn't happen over night. Losing a best friend is slow and painful as can be. There is always that final slap in the face when you realize, that your best friend is no longer your best...

Sakura wasn't in class which is weird, I need to text her and find out what's wrong. No. I told her she can call me when she wants to. She'll tell me what's wrong in time right? Her boyfriend Sasori's in my class unfortunately, he keeps saying something about a picture.

As soon as the bell rang, I got up to leave and find Sakura. I just need to see she's okay, I walked around the entire school searching for her then it hit me. The music room! I began to run towards the second floor where all the music rooms were in.

"Hey Teme! We're going Ichiraku's! Come on!" Naruto called out to me. I swear, I am sick and tired of ramen. Believe it! Whoops that's Naruto's line. "I'll be there later, I have something to do!" I yelled back, he stuck his thumb up as an 'ok' and the gang left.

I slowly began to sprint to each music class but Sakura wasn't in any of them. I entered one and looked out the window. A tint of pink caught my eye and it was Sakura and Sasori. She doesn't look happy... Either that or they're play-fighting.

Sasori looked like he was yelling at her and I knew they weren't play-fighting, they were really fighting. I went up to the window edge and looked down, there's a tree I could latch onto... I stood on the ledge carefully and lunged forward.

Gotcha! I latched onto the branch and swung my legs around like a monkey, from here, it wasn't so high so I jumped off. I rolled to break the fall and I noticed Sakura looked sad and slightly annoyed, I began to run over to her whilst yelling, "Sakura-chan!"

She turned in my direction with open eyes but looked towards the ground. "Hi Sasuke-kun..." She mumbled. "Sasori! What did you do?!" I demanded an answer. He looked at me and burst out laughing. "I haven't done anything!" He smirked.

"I wouldn't do anything since I love Sakura-chan and she loves me right?" He nudged Sakura and she nodded. I began to grow angry so I took her hand to walk away but Sasori grabbed onto her as well, "What do you think your doing with my girlfriend?" He glared.

I glared back at him and pulled Sakura closer to me, "Protecting my best friend," He pulled her and we both ended up extremely close. Sakura's face was panicked and flushed, Sasori tried to slap my hand away my I moved it to Sakura's waist.

"OY! Watch where you're putting your hands!" Sasori growled lashing out again. "Then let go!" I demanded, "No! You let go!" We both growled and Sakura shouted, "BOTH OF YOU LET GO! SASUKE-KUN I LOVE SASORI-KUN SO IT'S FINE!"

She slapped me across the face when Sasori let her go and looked away. "Just...Just leave...Please..." I opened my mouth to speak but she began to yell, "Just go Sasuke-kun! I love Sasori and you're treating him like...like dirt!" 

I froze in shock. She...actually loves him? I let her arm go and pat her head gently, "I....see....I hope your happy..." I forced a smile and walked away. My heart hurts so much right now, just why Sakura? I glanced back and saw Sakura and Sasori talking happily.

I can't...I don't think I can look at Sakura in the same way anymore. I quickened my pace and went straight home, I don't want to talk to anyone right now I saw Sakura's friends on the way home and I stared at them. "Hey who's that? That's Sakura's friend right?" Ino asked.

"Yeah...Come on let's go," The one with four pigtails said as they all walked away in a bitchy manner. Wow Sakura, you have some really 'nice' friends, I shrugged my shoulders and carried on walking, I hope I'll still get to see her...

Once I arrived at my house I came face to face with Itachi, "And your not in school because..? "He looked at me like I was an alien. Wait... I face palmed and slapped my cheeks, " O.....k? I think you need to rest," He sounded weirded out.

"Itachi, Sakura-chan...Sakura-chan...has a boyfriend..." I mumbled. "What?! I WILL NOT ALLOW IT! WHO IS HE!?" Itachi bellowed. I'm so glad mum and dad are at work. "Ohh! I see why you came home early..." He smirked and narrowed his eyes at me.

"What?" I sighed. "You loooove Sakura! And you were jelly!" He cackled. I knew my face was turning billions of shades of red, "I-I WAS NOT J-JEALOUS!" I pouted. Itachi pat my head and smiled, "I'll help you get her back!" I never even had her in the first place...

"It's fine, she's happy since she loves him," I looked down but Itachi sighed, "Dude, no. I refuse to allow my foolish brother to be invisible to the love of his life," The sound of cars filled the silence and I knew mum was home.

I need to go to the backyard to escape! "Bye Itachi!" I gave him a quick hug and ran towards the kitchen. I fiddled with the door knob as the front door opened. "Come on..." I growled beneath my breath, the door finally gave way at the same time mum said, "I'm home Itachi!" 

I know mum makes lunch as soon as she gets home so I need to get over the fence, I looked towards the cherry trees in the garden and began climbing. This should provide me cover right? I flicked myself over the fence and landed on my stomach.

Painfully, I began to run to school. I'll just have to- "Hey Sasuke! Decided to come join us after all?" Kiba laughed. Crap. I forgot about them. "Uh yeah," I walked over to them and sat beside Naruto, he turned to me with a face full of noodles. 

"Hey Tsheme!" He slurped. I felt my eye twitch, "You look utterly disgusting..." I sighed. "Agreed," The rest of the gang nodded. Naruto pouted and turned away, "Hmph! Jush becaush you guysh don't rike ramen doeshn't mean I can't wove it!"

He made a really big mess... I just hope we won't have to clean it up... "Hey did you hear? Sakura's totally dating one of the Akatsuki!" I heard Kiba announce. "Who's the Akatsuki?" I asked, I'm guessing Sasori's part of them since he Sakura's boyfriend.

"The Akatsuki are the students of the highest ability in each subject! Like Deidara has the highest score in crafting! Sasori has the highest in art. Konan has highest in maths and so forth, no one's allowed to speak to them," Neji explained. I nodded along. How the hell is Sasori in there?

"But you know what that means, Sakura's gonna join the Akatsuki!" Naruto blurted out, Sakura's joining their group? So I won't be able to talk to her? I slammed my hands against the table and stood up. "What's wrong Teme?" Naruto looked at me confused like the others.

"I gotta go," I muttered before leaving Ichiraku's. I gotta get to Sakura! They have to break up! Maybe...Maybe I still have a chance to get her back. Even if she's just my friend, I refuse to let Sakura join the Akatsuki! 

I arrived at school just as it finished and I saw Sakura hiding behind a cherry blossom tree. I walked up so I was beside her and opened my mouth to speak, "Sakura-chan yo-" I stopped midway because I saw Sasori wrap his arms around her.

After that, I saw Sakura smile and my heart shattered. Sakura looks so happy with Sasori... If I were to interfere, I'd be taking that happiness away from her, I turned around to walk away before glancing back.

If you're happiness resides with him, I'll leave it be...
