Already Gone

You don't see that I'm hurting. You don't notice the pain. It feels like everyone else is sitting in the sunshine while I just drown in the rain.

It's Hinata's birthday today. When was the last time I saw her? I didn't see her at my birthday party. To be honest, I think I only saw Ino there. Well now that I think about it, I was with Sasuke most of the time, I didn't have time to greet people.

I wrapped her present and put in it a gift bag. I made sure it was extravagant since I'm leaving tomorrow. Arriving with Sasori earned gasps from a lot from the guests. They questioned me on where Sasuke was and why I wasn't with him.

I said nothing.

After pushing through the crowd, I saw the birthday girl with a shy smile on her face and she was blushing like there was no tomorrow. I pushed the bag towards her with a massive grin and a hug, "Happy birthday Hinata-Chan!"

She gasped, then giggled, "Thank you Saku-Chan!" I stepped back and allowed the rest of the guests to swarm her with presents until Naruto stood by her side and eyed each an everyone of them. Then everyone was handing Hinata her gifts gently and politely.

I couldn't help but stare at Hinata and Naruto, they looked like the perfect couple and reminded me of Sasuke, who should be here shouldn't he? No Sakura. Don't even think about him right now. I let out a breath and walked into the garden.

All my friends were there except Ino, "Hey guys!" I smiled, they waved and ushered for me to sit with them. We did nothing but sit there giggling at nothing until Hinata came out. "Hey guys! Thanks for coming to my party!" She smiled.

We all nodded and smiled in response, this was our friendship. We only need smiles to express gratitude. As far as I was aware, Temari and Shikamaru had apparently gotten together as well as TenTen and Neji, where was I to miss all this?!

"Hm? Where did Teme go?" Naruto huffed, looking around. Sasori shuffled closer to me and I shuffled away from him. "Huh? He was here like an hour ago," TenTen pursed her lips in thought. I watched the dark clouds that were slowly heading our way.

They looked beautiful against the now crimson sky, glowing in the fiery sun. I suppose it's time I tell them right? "Guys..." I sighed. They all looked at me expectantly. "I'm leaving for America tomorrow," I smiled, "I was accepted into a music company!"

Everyone was silent before cheering, "Yeah! Go Sakura-Chan! Dattebayo!" Naruto grinned, he was the loudest among everyone, I smiled and looked down at the sheet of music in front of me. "I have a--" "Guys it's getting late, we should start heading home," Sasori interrupted.

I looked away and pouted. He knows I have a song for them, what's his problem? Naruto looks up and gasps, "The sky got dark real fast! And there's dark clouds! Get home safe guys!" I'm guessing he's sleeping over tonight since Hinata is blushing.

We all groaned and stood up, walking out the door one by one. "H-Hope you guys h-had fun..." Hinata smiled, waving to us from the front door with Naruto, we waved back and began to head our separate ways. I was still with Sasori.

"So would you like to explain why you interrupted me?" I asked annoyed, he shook his head before stopping suddenly. "I need to go somewhere, get home safely Sakura," He turned his back and began to walk in the opposite direction, vanishing into the darkness.

I felt something drip onto my forehead. Once. Twice. Thrice. It's beginning to rain. I took out my umbrella and held it over my head, not too far, not too close and began walking. My feet splashed into wet pathway and I felt depressed.

There was another party at the end of the road and the people there were dancing, having fun. Whilst I was alone. They were celebrating in the rain. I was drowning in the rain. I crossed the road and headed an alternative route to avoid them.

But then I saw a shadowed figure standing by a tree. Almost like it was watching me. It's body shape was familiar and I couldn't help but feel attracted to it, so I got closer, step by step. He was drenched in the rain and he looked even more miserable than I did when Sasuke dumped me.

"Are you okay??" I called out, reaching out towards the stranger. Then I saw his hair. The way he stood. Those clothes. "Sasuke-kun..." I whispered, my eyes were tearing up at the sight of him. It seemed a bit lighter and I could clearly see his face.

He stared down at me with wide eyes, I looked into them. Hurt. Pain. Sadness. Those were in his eyes, "S-Sakura...." He mumbled. "I.... I'm going to America..." I muttered, lowering my head, my bangs shadowing my eyes, "You won't have to see me anymore,"

"A....ahh...." He uttered, the silence was very awkward and unnerving. I couldn't bear it. I wanted to run but he deserves to know I'm leaving. "Sakura I...... I miss you..." He said stroking my cheek, a tear ran from my cheek to his finger.

Am I meant to say 'I miss you too'? No. I should be mad at him. I still am. "Liar," I whimpered, pushing his hand away. I brought my umbrella over the both of us so neither of us got wet. "Sakura.... I thought about it and..... I realized I won't ever be able to see you again.... so... please, give me another chance,"

"No" I said harshly, glaring up at him through tear-filled eyes, "I was just a tool for you, I doubt you actually miss me, you're such a liar, filling me with false hopes like that," He stayed silent. The sound of the rain crashing down on the floor was louder than ever.

"Besides Sasuke-kun," I sighed, forcing the umbrella into his hand and walking away from him. I was quick to be drenched in rain. Before I completely vanished from his life, I looked over my shoulder at him and showed my him my tear filled face.
