Chapter 2 fanfic

"Bye sis, I'll pick you up for lunch, see ya," my brother Michael drove me to school today. Michael is about 6 foot tall and pretty similar to the rest of my relatives he has dark brown hair, a tan, and brown eyes. All my friends used to fawn over him. For lunch we are going to go to Dairy Queen, and he promised he would drive me around town. I sighed and turned around as drove off to face Will Rogers High. So this is my new school.

Pony's POV

I was walking to my locker when I saw a new girl. I wonder if she was the new regular that I saw move in? I thought to myself.

"Pony!"

I turned around to see who called my name, and next thing I know my books are on the floor.

"Oh! I'm so sorry" the regular said to me. "I guess I should watch where I'm going, huh?" She said with a half-smile while gathering the books on the floor. I bent down to help.

"That's ok," I said while giving her her books back. She was beautiful and different than most people around here. She had a light complexion, a light dust of freckles, gray-green eyes like me, I'm not sure what color you would call her hair, but it was like a mix of red, and blonde.

"Thanks," she said breaking me out of my stare. Hopefully she didn't catch me staring.

"No problem, you new here?"

"Uh, yeah, we moved here yesterday. I'm Riley by the way." She said clutching her books with one hand, and holding out the other for me to shake.

"Riley, that's a cool name," I said after shaking her hand, "I'm-" my sentence was cut off by the person who called my name earlier

"Pony!" Two-bit called, "what are ya deaf?! Man you're a thick, wait...sorry was I interrupting something? with your girl?!" Two-bit asked with the stupidest grin on his face.

"She's not my girl Two-bit! I don't even know her,"

"Whatever you say," Two-bit said with a sing-song voice, and he sauntered down tue hall. When he was out of Riley's sight he turned and winked at me.

"Sorry about that," I said to Riley. I'm pretty sure I was blushing a little.

"That's ok, I have a big brother who used to embarrass me like that. Was he your brother?" She asked smiling, seemingly unfazed by the whole situation.

"Oh no, that was just a family friend, his name's Two-bit. He acts like a brother to me though. Us greasers gotta stick together. "

"Greasers? What's a greaser?"

"Oh yeah, I forgot you just moved here, a greaser is someone who lives on the East side. They're mortal enemies to the Socs. Socs live on the West side, and they like to beat up greasers just for kicks. Hey where'd you move from anyways?"

"South Dakota. Yeah I lived there all my life."

"Why'd you move?" Her smile dropped, and her eyes didn't look so bright anymore.

"Oh, umm..." I could tell she didn't want to talk about it.

"That's ok. You don't have to tell me,"

"Thanks, it's kind of a touchy subject."

"That's ok maybe you can tell me some other time. When you want too.

Hey do you have any plans for lunch?"

"Uh actually yeah, my brother is picking me up. He's gonna show me around town...sorry."
