Riley's POV

In a split second I ran full speed into the kitchen, afraid of what they were planning. When I ran in I was greeted with a scene I never would've imagined...

Ok so "never would've imagined" was a little overdramatic, nevertheless I was still shocked. The second I stepped into the kitchen, I froze. Not out of fear, but surprise. Sarah was standing on top of the table, covered head to toe in chocolate cake! It was in her hair, on the boy's T-shirt she wore to bed, on her face, on her arms and legs. Everywhere. I stared at her, and she looked back at me.

"Uh-oh," she said and she started pulling on her shirt. My eyes were as wide as quarters, and my jaw dropped to the floor. I turned and examined the kitchen. Chocolate cake covered every inch of it. Then I spotted Steve and Dally by the fridge.

"Wha- how...did you-" I stuttered.

"What happened in here?" Pony asked when he regained himself after stumbling into the kitchen after me.

"Uhhh," Steve let out, "I came in here with Dally, and we found your kid sister digging into some cake-"

"Who gave her cake?" I asked, cutting Steve off, and looking at Sarah.

"Certainly not me," Pony said holding his hands up. I tried narrowing my eyes at him, but I couldn't and my face morphed into a smile.

"Anyway, me and Dally made a bet, who could throw the most cake in your kid sister's mouth. I won, and-" Steve boasted, but I cut off mid-sentence

"How in the world did you come up with a bet like that? Wait, hold on. So you guys did this?" I asked quickly.

"It wasn't all us! Your sister wouldn't stay still!" Dally snapped. He didn't look at me when he spoke, because he was too busy cleaning up the cake that was smeared on the bottom of his leather jacket.

"Well, I'm sure you'd be moving around too if chocolate cake was being thrown at you by teenage boys," I said placing my hands on my hips.

"I say we test that theory, Riley," Soda said. Immediately after that he threw a piece of chocolate cake at Steve. Who ducked just in time, but Dally was not so fortunate. The cake landed on his right shoulder he looked surprised at first, and then his face contorted into anger.

"I think it's safe to say that your theory is correct," Soda said smiling.

"It's also safe to say that you're a dead man, Soda," Dally said wiping the cake off of his jacket yet again. Soda broke out into a run, and hastily opened the screen door, letting it slam afterwards. Dally followed soon after.

"I think Dally took that pretty well," I said turning around to face Pony. Before I could say another word, my face was met with a layer of chocolate cake mush. I gasped and wiped the cake away from my eyes to see pony holding Sarah up in front of me.

"Good job, Sarah!" He said setting her down and giving her a high five. Sarah giggled and looked at me, then began laughing even harder.

"Ya know, this cake is pretty good," I said wiping a finger across my cheek, and licking the cake off of it. "But not as good as revenge," I said to pony. I grabbed a chunk of cake off of a plate on the table, and was about to throw it at Ponyboy, when I saw that he was using Sarah as a shield.

"Really? Using a five-year-old as a shield? You coward," I said, with a slight laugh in my voice.

"I'm not a coward. I'm using my surroundings to my advantage, nothing wrong with that," Pony said peeking out from behind Sarah, who was giggling uncontrollably now. I smiled and rolled my eyes playfully at him.
