A/N Hey guys, I finally got those three reviews! Granted one of them was a reply from me, and the other two were from some of my closest friends, buuut the fact thy I'm a total pushover is not the point here. I was just reeeaaallly bored. (Another con out of the pros and cons of Sumer. Wink wink, @_HaleyRyan_ ) I'm sure you guys are glad that I'm a pushover anyways.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters or any characters based off those from the book and/or the movie "The Outsiders". All rights go to S.E. Hinton. (I realize I should've said that in chapter 1, but I'm a human and forgetful. So you can all just shut your traps! Haha The Outsiders reference!) without further ado, chapter 4.

Soda's POV

I was walking home from the DX on a half day, when I saw a little girl ,who looked about 4 or 5, run into the street. She tripped as a car was coming. My instincts kicked in, and I ran into the road. The car skidded, and I picked the little girl up and threw her out of the way. The car brushed my pant leg, scratched up the back of my foot, and honked at me. "Sarah!" I heard a girl scream. I looked up and saw a girl about 15 run over to her, and pick up the crying little girl. I limped over to where they were, and sat down next to them.

"She fell down in the street, and I pushed her out of the way, before she got run over," I told her. The older girl was in tears now.

" Thank...you!" She said in between sobs.

"It's no problem. Anyone would've done it."

"No. You saved her life. Not any person would've risked their life to help a stranger," She and the little girl had calmed down some by now.

"What was she doing out here without someone watching her?" I asked.

"She must've heard me and my dad fighting. Did you follow me to see if I was okay?"She asked the little girl. The little girl nodded. "Thank you so much. If she did get run over I would never forgive myself. Oh! Look at your foot! At least let me take you home and clean the blood off your foot."

"No that's ok, my house is right down there. I was walking there anyways. Are you gonna go home?"

"Well I ain't got nowhere else to go."

"I could bring ya to my house. By the way my name's Sodapop Curtis," I said holding my hand out for her to shake. She wiped her tears from her cheek with the back of her hand, then dried her hand off with her pant leg, before shaking my hand.

"Are you related to Ponyboy Curtis?" She asked with a smile, while shaking my hand.

"Yeah. He's my kid brother! You go to school with him?" I asked her standing up them helping pulling her up. She took her little sister and placed on her hip.

"Yeah, he's one of my good friends. Usually I would say no to your offer, but considering you saved my sister's life, and you're related to Pony, sure."

"All right let's go. Oh yeah, I don't think I caught your name."

"I don't think I threw it," I laughed a little at that, "it's Riley, and the rotten little munchkin you saved is Sarah," she said holding Sarah on her hip and poked her nose. Sarah giggled.

"Yeah! Pony talks about ya all the time!"

"Oh really!" She said laughing. She didn't look embarrassed, and she didn't blush. Usually people get embarrassed when others talk about people who like them.

"Yeah, he always talks about how pretty ya are," I said smiling, but not looking at her.

"Well I don't blame him!" She said while flipping her hair playfully, and over dramatically while laughing. She sure was funny.
