A/N I know you guys are probably tired of reading about the same day in over five chapters but this'll be the last one for the same day. I'm sorry about that guys.
Chapter 14
Pony's POV
Pony, calm down. I'm sure she's fine," Johnny said. I've been pacing back and forth half the time she's been gone, and the other half I was sitting on the couch tapping the floor repeatedly with my foot.
"I can't help it. I just want to know she's okay," I told him. Johnny chuckled a bit and shook his head, while playing with his switchblade.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothin' man," He laughed again.
"What? What's so funny?"
"Well just look at yourself. You're gettin' all worked up over a girl. You've never done that before," I rolled my eyes at him, and sent him a glare. Johnny held his hands up in surrender.
"All I'm saying is I've never seen you so worked up before. You really like Riley don't ya?" I nodded my head yes, and sat back down. The thing is though I'm not sure what I think about her. I think it's more than just a crush, I think I love her. But how am I supposed to know? I mean...I'm just a kid.
"She's nice. You guys are good together," Johnny smiled, and I mustered up an anxious faulty smile, that fell short of what I had expected.
I think he was going to say something else, but our conversation was interrupted by the sound of a car pulling in. I shot up, and burst through the screen door. My smile fell though, when I saw Two-bit getting out of his pickup, and he gave me a confused look. Riley was nowhere to be seen.
"Where is she?" I asked.
"She stayed. When we got there two fuzz cars were in the front. I stayed outside, and after a few minutes the cops left, and Riley waved me off. I don't know, man. She seemed upset," Two-bit said walking up to the porch. He shook his head, and walked inside. I grabbed the door before it slammed shut, and walked inside with him.
"So?" Johnny asked, "what happened?"
"We don't know. The cops were there, they left, and Riley stayed at her house," I said plopping down on the couch beside Johnny.
"Did she say anything?" Soda asked, "she look sad?" He said looking towards Two-bit.
"No. After the fuzz drove off, she waved me off. She didn't look happy..." He trailed off. "I don't what she was, man," Two-bit snatched the ball Steve was bouncing off the wall and catching in his hands, then started doing the same thing. "I guess ya had to be there," he finished. After that, he went into the kitchen grabbed a couple of beers, some chocolate cake from the ice box, and turned on the TV. I sighed and leaned back on the couch. I stayed there a little while, and rubbed my face with my hands.
"Hello all," Darry said as he walked in.
"What're you doing home so early?" I asked. He looked at me like I was someone who belonged in a nut house.
"It's five o'clock kiddo," he said gesturing to the clock on the wall. "I always get home at five," I didn't realize how much time had passed. I stood up, and grabbed my jacket. I started to walk through the door, and Darry stopped me.
"Where are ya going, kiddo?" He asked.
"Riley's house," I said cooly.
"Not without someone else. The Socs have busy lately. Yesterday a buddy of mine was cut up pretty bad in broad daylight. It's too dangerous right now, and it's not like it'll be a short walk. She lives in the regular's territory,"
