1) Straight guys might be jealous of gay men because gay men have always had a better connection with women...because they are into the same things (sometimes) and they have similar intuitions...and women like to go out with gay guys because they feel they can open up and be close with them just like one of their best girl friends-not having to worry about things that they might worry about if they were with a straight guy. The straight guys might be jealous that the gay guys can be so close to women but they have to work their asses off for the same closeness.
2) Sometimes straight guys call other straight guys "gay" as an insult, and I think that maybe this deals with them taunting each other that they are more feminine than masculine in their personality or physical qualities. (As if being female were degrading). So they use their uneasiness with gay men to insult other straight guys as if to put them down...which is rediculous.
