Loneliness is my least favorite thing about life. The thing that I'm most worried about is just being alone without anybody to care for or someone who will care for me.

I walked into class the next day, my hair a mess on the top of my head; my eyes tired and shadowed. I guess my choice of dress wasn't too great, either. But as of today, I could care less.

I took my seat right next to Brigitte, not sparing her a single glance. I stared forward; ignoring her presence. Although, she didn't quite ignore mine, even when I told her to.

"I listened to your voicemail yesterday," She said. "Did you mean any of that, Astrid?"

Without looking at her, I replied. "Yes, I did."

There was a long pause, neither of us speaking. I didn't even want to acknowledge her, but I knew I had to. "I didn't really appreciate what you said." She finally spoke, her gaze burning into my flesh.

I snorted, shaking my head with a smile. "Oh, is that so? I was only saying the truth. I needed you, Brigitte. Where were you? Probably at your boyfriends doing whatever. Ignoring my calls." I said, my tone blatant.

She scoffed. "I'm allowed to see my boyfriend, Astrid!" She yelled, a bit too loudly. Where was the professor at?

"I never said you weren't. But that's all you do see. Your boyfriend. I'm just forgotten. It's been three months since we actually spent time together." I sighed, crossing my arms.

She opened her mouth to speak; but right then the professor walked through the double doors, interrupting her.

I walked to my car after class, hurriedly driving away from the place; away from Brigitte's pleas. I couldn't take it anymore. It was growing quite annoying.

I drove to the coffee shop, wondering why I was. Maybe I needed some coffee, but I don't think that was it.
