Chapter 8 ~ First Day of School

Sorry if this is a crappy chapter I'm writing this while I'm getting my hair cut.
Mike P.O.V

"Mike it's time to go" mom shouted
"Okay" I said and I ran down the stairs to my mom and Vincent. She had her car keys in one hand and her purse in the other. We all walked out to the car and mommy helped me into my car seat. I was nervous, what if somebody didn't like me. I had my fox shirt on and my brand new jeans. The fox reminded me of Foxy, I liked the mascot until my brother ruined it for me. Mommy started the car and we started to drive off.
"Mommy" I asked
"Yes Mikey" she replied
"I'm nervous" I said
"It will be okay if anybody is mean to you just tell the teacher okay" Vincent said "and then tell me who they are and they will pay" Vincent added sometimes he scared me. I nodded and mommy smacked his arm
"No they will not pay" Mommy said giving Vincent a disapproving look he shrugged and looked ahead. I wonder what he meant. Mommy turned on the music and I hummed along in my blue carseat. It was a clear day and it was warm out, perfect for playing outside. I've never been to a school before I wonder what it is like when Mommy and Vincent aren't around. I shrugged and kept humming to the happy tune. Mommy soon pulled up to the building we saw yesterday.
"Okay here we are we will walk you in Mike okay" Mom said, I nodded and we all got out of the car with Vincent helping me out of the car. I grabbed my backpack and lunch box and we headed inside. Mommy opened the doors and Vincent lead me in with his purple hand on my back. We walked down a hallway that had jungle animals all over it. We turned right into a classroom the lady my mommy told me was Ms. Cindy was standing by the doorway.
"Welcome Mike we have a cubby over there for you to put your stuff in" Ms. Cindy said, my mom gave me a look of approval and I ran over to the cubby that had my name on it. To the left of me was Josie's cubby and to the right of me was Doll's cubby. I hung my backpack up and walked back over to mommy
"Okay Mikey mommy and Vincent have to go to work we will pick you up when school lets out" she said, I became a little scared. I hugged mommy and hugged Vincent. They said goodbye and left I missed them already even though they just left. Ms. Cindy put a hand on my shoulder and crouched down to my level
"You will love it here Mike you will meet new friends and today we are having our sing along day most of the children here love sing along day. We will find you a spot to sit at the tables and on the floor" Ms. Cindy said, I nodded shyly and looked around. There were a ton of tables and places to color. A really cool pirate ship stood lonesome in the corner. There were blankets and pillows surrounding it all pirate themed. Just then two boys bounded through the door. One of them looked at me and hit his friend in the shoulder. They both ran over, one of them stuck out his hand
"Hi my name is Jacob" the blonde said
"And my name is Chance" the other boy said he had brown hair
"Hi my name is Mike" I said shaking both their hands, they nodded and grabbed my hand and brought me over to the pirate ship
"Want to play pirates with us" Chance asked as Jacob climbed to the very top and grabbed a bandana
"Sure what do I do" I asked
"You can keep a look out for land while I tend to the treasure in the bottom of the ship and Jacob steers" Chance said already climbing into the ship he pulled out a telescope and handed it to me "go on top of ye ship and keep an eye out for land" Chance said using a pirate accent I grinned and climbed up to the top of the ship
"Welcome aboard the Poop Sailor matey" Jacob said pretending to steer the boat.
"Glad to be a part of ye crew captain" I said using a pirate accent as well.
"Do ya see land yet matey" Chance asked
"I see a speck of somethin here lad" I replied
"Alrighty ye treasure be down here for when we need to buy thing at ports bow" Chance replied, I looked through my telescope and the world around me transformed into the sea. Blue crystal clear water around me and Jacob had a full pirate outfit on. I saw land and started to yell
"LAND HO LAND HO" I said and Jacob did a little dance
"Ye be the land here all right" Jacob yelled
"Oh but what's this I think there be ye enemy ships" Chance yelled from below, I looked through my telescope and sure enough there were three ships coming our way
"Prepare the ships canons" Jacob yelled at me and I ran to the black canon waiting to be lit. I grabbed the matches from my pocket and lit the fuse
"FIRE IN THE HO" I yelled and Jacob, Chance and I ducked and covered our ears.
BOOM
The first canon shot out at the big black ship and sunk it.
"Good job matey but we still have three ships to take to Davey Jones Locker" Jacob yelled steering the ship. Water splashed up and a little came onto the ship. I lit yet another canon
"FIRE IN THE HO" I yelled once again and we all ducked covering our ears
BOOM
The black ball hit the other ship as it sank quickly to the bottom of the sea
"Alrighty lad here be ye last ship" Chance shouted from below I nodded and took out another match
"FIRE IN THE HO" I yelled and we all ducked the canon shot out
BOOM
We sank the last ship and sailed peacfully to port and bought some legos we boarded Poop Sailor and danced as the world faded back to the preschool. Ms. Cindy and a number of other students were sitting in front of us clapping as we all bowed. Ms. Cindy snapped a picture with her camera as we all settled down. She gave a warm smile, maybe this wasn't going to be as bad as I thought it was going to be
"Okay class now to learn about the life cycle of a frog" she said and we all went and sat down. Doll sat next to me
"You looked pretty cool up there" she whispered and my cheeks became red
"Thanks" I whispered back

In the picture above is what the pirate ship looked like. I am using the preschool I went to and we seriously had one of these. I played pirates with my friends Jacob and Chance, Josie and a number of others Mike meets at the preschool are real people. Ms. Cindy was my preschool teacher and possible the best person EVER. Any way I thought I would tell you these fun facts. Toodles
