"And with that the meeting is now at a close. Thank you everyone for attending and presenting ideas as well as current situations. I look forward to meeting you all again in the meeting. Sayonara." Japan said promptly, giving a quick bow as everyone was dismissed from the meeting.

Germany took this as his cue to leave as the crowds of nations began getting up to leave for departure.

Ugh... what a long day.

He glanced at his watch.

5:30

Prussia had been kicked out of the meeting hours ago, and he was surprised when he saw nothing from the dummkopf. Usually, Prussia would come back twenty or so minutes after, either bored, or wanting to mess around again. He not coming back was an unusual occurrence...

"Hey! Germany!"

"Was- Oh, Hungary. Is something the matter?" he asked, before giving it some thought, "did Prussia do something? I am very sorry for whatever he did, and if you could take my apolo-"

"No, well, actually... it is about Prussia," Hungary began, "no, he didn't do anything wrong," she muttered, annoyed when noticing Ludwig's apprehensive look, "He... he just didn't look right today. I think something might've happened... a relapse? From what happened after World War II." She finished off barely whispering, her head dipped.

"You remember how he was back then. He blamed himself for everything, and he was absolutely terrified of Russia. Locking himself in his room, not talking to anyone or weeks, he was so upset and depressed... so much anxiety encasing his heart in webs..." she murmured, drawing a piece of loose hair back over her ear, "he's acting like he did then. I don't like it, Ludwig... he was so broken then... and I sometimes... feel like some of it was my fault. I broke our friendship for Austria... and he hated that so much... Just the way he got up and left, that's enough for me to know it's happening again..."

Ludwig felt the truth slap him on the face, and an overwhelming amount of guilt drowning him. He'd noticed Bruder acting a little odd in the morning... he'd actually considered it being a relapse... but then brushed it off. Why? The German thought he was just having a mood swing, acting all sulky. And what did he do? He just went and yelled at him in front of everyone, making him a disgrace and worsening the situation.

Make sure you take care of him, Germany

Shit.

"Sh-sheisse! Hungary, we have to find him. Now. If he's actually having a relapse..." His rewound back to the time... that awful day...

((TRIGGER WARNING))

"Bruder, can I come in?"

He was met by nothing other than silence. The door remained closed. No response, whatsoever. Not even a "Go away". Ludwig frowned, knocking again.

"Bruder, if you don't answer me, I'm coming in."

"..."

"Don't say I didn't warn you..."

The turned the old door knob to the basement, where his brother had begun living in, shortly after his return from Russia. After their little reunion in the blizzard, Prussia became quiet. Gilbert didn't bother coming for dinner, and spent all his time closed up in the basement. Ludwig would be lying if he said he wasn't worried. Today especially, as a strange stench was emanating from the room. He couldn't put his finger on what the smell was...

He pushed the door, and instantly gagged on the smell.

Blood. It was blood.
