take me to the place I love, take me all the way.

the rest of luke's day was pretty normal.

he ended up having four classes with calum and even sat with him during lunch. he introduced luke to his friends and they all got along quite well.

he was thankful to have at least made one good friend during his first day, but even after the day had long finished he couldn't help but think about the mysterious blonde boy from his english honors class.

luke was curious about michael. there was no doubt about it.

he wanted to know why he was a 'bad boy', why he did whatever he wanted, why he talked back to the teachers, why they know him so well, and most importantly why he managed to break every rule there ever was of being a bad boy, yet still managed to act like a bad boy.
but luke knew all too well that curiosity could sometimes kill the cat.

walking out of the building he spotted michael along with his group of friends who dressed almost the same as he did.

he was walking as fast as he could, avoiding any awkward eye contact with the group of boys. he almost reached his car until he heard an unfamiliar voice.

"aye! new kid!"

he mentally groaned and turned to see who had called him. one of the boys from the group had called him, waving his hand for him to come over. they all looked at him, including michael.

luke walked over to them in annoyance, knowing that whatever they had to say to him was probably going to be stupid and a waste of his time.

"heard some stuff about you by some people", the boy said wrapping his arm around luke's shoulder, "how much do I gotta pay to see that pretty ass of yours?" he said laughing along with the boys. all but michael.

he felt his stare burning through him, making luke feel nervous, like anything he said could possibly embarrass him in front of the attractive boy.

"i don't know what your talking about" luke replied trying to wiggle out of the nameless boy's grip but he only held on to him tighter.

"you know what I'm talking about fag"

luke scoffed, "look, let me the fuck go and you can walk away without a broken nose"

the boys 'ooo'd and laughed, while the boy who had his arm around luke's shoulder grabbed luke by the collar of his shirt and pushed him against the wall.

"what did you say to me punk?!"

the group started chanting and suddenly stood frozen and quiet when they heard michael. "jason, that's enough!"

a smirk played on jason's face and he let go of luke.

"i'll see you around fag" he mumbled, letting go of luke with a little shove and walking away, all of the boys following behind him, except for michael.

luke and michael stood there, staring at each other for a moment.

"thank you" luke said.

michael simply nodded, showing no emotion, and walked away to his own car, getting in and stepping on the gas pedal, speeding out of the parking lot.

at this point, luke had no doubt in his mind that this would be the last time he made contact with michael and his group.

and that terrified him.

"hey sweetie, how was your first day?"

luke's mom greeted him with a kiss on the cheek as he entered the door. he shrugged, "it was okay. better than sun ridge"

she smiled happily, ecstatic that luke settled into his new school.

but in luke's mind, that wasn't the case.

he walked up to his room after eating dinner to finish up his homework.

this was how his days usually went. he woke up, went to school, possibly got picked on, went home, ate, did his homework, and went to sleep. although this time around he did have calum now. but he was still searching for something more in his life.

as he closed his eyes to sleep, a certain boy popped into his head that night.
