Caspar's Pov:
I stood in my place for a moment, looking at his red shoes that were tossed so carelessly on the wooden ground. My thoughts raced as I walked slowly, hating how they're getting darker and more twisted by the second.
I finally paused just before stepping out, and took out the package that was in my pocket. I breathed in, as the vapor swooshed a few inches away from my face. I glanced at the package, and it read a weird name, but for some reason I read it over and over again to memories it. Probably those pills he takes, and I needed to find just what they are for. What grabbed m attention more though, were the address and the sender.
It was Brighton.
And it was none other than doctor Daniel.
I held the small package tightly, as tears started to form in my eyes. Joe must be sick or something, and he wouldn't even tell me what's wrong. I walked out to the luxurious balcony, praying to god that I won't have to look over the edge and spot a limp body. I screamed,
" WHERE ARE YOU JOE!"
"Stop being so noisy, god."
"Huh?" I jumped, startled at the voice that just groaned those words, and snapped my head to the right, the direction of the vapor to be exact.
Oh my god.
Joe's Pov:
I returned home earlier than that annoying South African, which was a relief to say the least. I checked some of my work sheets and played a bit on my piano, I couldn't even bother to take off my shoes in doing so. After a while, it started to get darker and darker, but that didn't stop me. I couldn't care less about the darkness, it wasn't really a barrier.
Suddenly while playing though, I stopped for another reason. I felt my stomach twist and turn as if my guts were eating themselves.
I didn't have these for a while.
Shit.
I got up quickly and ran to the bathroom, my eyes already watering while I opened the toilet seat. I took off my glasses, and barfed painfully into it.
My knees were shaking on the ground, as I felt light headed after I was done. I got up with a slight wobble, and washed up my face and brushed my teeth after flashing the toile down.
I fetched my glasses that were placed near the toilet afterwards, and clasped them at the front of my shirt.
I opened the medicine cabinet above the sink and took the thermometer into my mouth; I placed it under my tongue in particular. After a second or two, it beeped and I took it out.
37.6 C
Thank god, no fever.
I let out a sigh of relief, and then went out to the kitchen area. I took a bottle of water from the fridge and drank it all up. After that, I moved to open a cupboard and chewed some mint gum into my mouth.
Well, guess I wont be having dinner tonight.
I walked to the piano next, and placed my round glasses on the sheets. The moon was beautiful tonight. Though it wasn't fully displayed, but it was still there, shimmering in glory while being surrounded by the twinkling stars.
For a moment, I wished that I could be up there among them, with no worries in the world but to shine.
I sighed, and approached the balcony window, sliding it open and exposing myself to the night's cool air. I breathed in and closed my eyes.
