I was crying without noticing. This was the reason I didn't want to tell them. I hate crying. I hate showing my weakness to others. I waited for them in the car while sobbing.
They finally showed up and Ian dropped Nick and I at the orphanage. The ride was silent and I was so glad about it.
...
Weeks had passed since I told them about my parents. They never brought the topic up because they knew it was a sensitive topic for me. In fact, they acted like it never happened. Nick still went to parties with Jade and Ian.
Jade suddenly called me. I picked it up expecting a drunk Jade.
"No I wont come to the party."
"Oh you would love to come to this party." it was a man's voice. I recognized it. It was the guy that killed my family.
"Mike."
"Oh you remember."
"What are doing with my friends?"
"Friends? Please, they told me you weren't their friend."
"Whatever, what the heck are you doing with them?"
"Nothing. Just you know tied them up with some ropes and those cliché stuffs."
"What do you want, Mike."
"The money your father owes me."
"You killed him. Your rule was pay back or be killed."
"We need at least one thousand dollars. Your father's life wasn't even worth a cent."
How dare he.
"You took three lives! That's not enough?!" I yelled. My eyes were filled with anger. My knuckles were bleeding because I punched the wall too hard.
"The woman and the baby doesn't count. I want the money or they die." Mike said as he gave the phone to Nick, Jade and Ian. All of them were crying because of fear.
I wanted to kill him. Sophie's and Alex's life didn't count? Their lives were worth a million dollars. He was so cruel. He doesn't deserve to live. I walked out my room and went to Mike's hideout after he texted me. He was a monster.
