"So," Said Anne, "Achan came to the palace fifty years ago?"
"Yes, Your Majesty." Said the royal reader.
"And where did he come from?"
"No one knows, Your Majesty."
"Hmm well thats no help."
"Your Majesty, perhaps I could find someone to speak with his wife."
"You mean Brigget?"
"Yes," Said the young man, "Perhaps she could tell us where he's from."
"Well I don't know. What if Achan told her to keep quiet?"
"Yes, that is a possibility." Said the reader. "But it is worth a try."
"I suppose you are right." She said with a sigh.
"I shall find someone to go and see. Yes, Your Majesty, that is the wisest thing for you to do. But do be careful."
"By what do you mean?"
"I mean that perhaps Your Majesty should find someone to go as a merchant."
"But why?" Asked Anne, puzzled.
"Because then she would think that she (or he) was selling something and then they would get to talking and so on and so forth......"
Then Anne said, finishimg his sentence, "And if Achan did tell her to not speak of where he came from then she wouldn't suspect anything and would tell her!"
"I dont think that is a possible." Said the reader.
"How so?"
"Well if he told her to keep quiet about his nationalty he probably told her not to tell ANYONE and that is why it is not possible, Your Majesty."
"I see." Said Anne, "Well what do you suggest we do?"
"I do not know, but perhaps I could find an older record or look around for some information."
"Here," Anne interupted and said, "No no that will not do. But perhaps you are right about Achan telling his wife to keep quite. I do not think I could ask her were he is from without rousing her suspicion."
"Yes, you are right." Said the young reader. "But please, may I look for a scroll or something?"
"Why yes, that would be the best possible thing."
"But why then did you say that it was not?"
"When did I say that?" Anne's face had a rather puzzled expression.
"Just a moment ago."
"Oh." Said Anne, now seeing that she said no to a plan she had developed in her mind. After a moment she said, "I am sorry I did not mean to say that finding any possible infromation was not a good idea, I simply meant that a plan I had was not a good one."
"Oh forgive me your majesty I..."
"No no, do not apologize, you are forgiven."
"Well then I shall away till we meet again."
