Anne looked up at the sun and could tell that it was almost nine twenty-six.
She was so timid that she could hardly sleep the night before. If you have not already even guessed that Anne was a very adventurous, then I suppose I will tell you all about her adventurous life while she sat groning on the rock and was wondering where on earth Brigget was (althogh she was very early).
Ever since Anne was six she would go around the palace (of course with her nanny right behind, she had at least six at one time) and find things under beds and in the secret tunnels that lead to strange and mysterious rooms (when ever she could get away at the nuse). She also loved to read the ancent records and learn all about the history of her ancesters. Her nannys used to tell her wild stories about dragons and about how nice quite folk would suddenly be wisked away on unnexpeted adventures and return to there home land rich and changed (she enjoyed these storys most).
But it wasn't the riches that these people came back with that excited Anne. It was the adventures, how these people came back new and somehow changed. From that time until now Anne was always ready to go on a adventure( I'm sorry but we must now return to are sulking Anne).
She had waited for about an hour and fifteen minutes when Brigget finnaly arrived.
"Brigget finally your here! Said the Queen as she arose from her seat."
"Yes I'm here said Brigget with a laugh."
But soon her smile faded when she remembered why she was there.
"I have asked you here said Anne, to talk of..."
But anne was intterupted by Brigget.
"Yes yes I know what I'm here to talk about said Brigget while looking at the ground."
She looked up very slowly at Anne then at the ground again and said.
"I'm sorry Your Majesty but it isn't as if I don't love my husband she said sobing, we've ben married for twenty two years, and he is good to me really he is, I know what he has done is wrong and I will tell you, but it's hard to betray someone you love."
As Brigget said this Anne relised how hard it must be for her to tell about her husbands wrong doing but she also admirred her courage and how much she was willing to save her country but from what? What had this man done? You shall soon find out.
"Well if I must tell you I shall start from the begining when I first met Achan. I didint mean to tell you this but if I am to be of any service to your majasty I must tell you my full name, it is Brigget Arabella Pijeaun, I am the daughter of the duke and duchess of Norfork."
When she turned to look at Anne she was quite alarmed when she saw that she had her mouth wide open(which is a very unlady like thing to do but perphaps we could excuss anne this time).
"Excuse me for saying so," Said Anne once she regaind her speech, "But that is quite impossible."
"Why Your majesty?" Said Brigget.
"Why!" Exclaimed Anne, "Because Brigget Pijeaun is dead, she drowned in the river yser that tis why."
"Yes I know what my father said but what happend is quite a diffrent story."
"Forgive me it was wrong of me to not believe you but this very hard to believe." replied Anne.
"No no Your Majesty their is no need to apologize I already knew that this would happen."
"You did?" Said Anne in surprise.
"Why, yes, Your Majesty, when people have said you've been dead for thirteen years it is shocking when they 'come back to life' it will give you quite a scare."
"Yes I can see how alarming it could be, oh just listen to me carrying on so and we came here to talk of Achan."
"Yes." said Brigget with a sad expression on her face.
After a moments silence she began. "Well let me start at the begining. My father and my mother were the Duke and Duchess of Norfork as I have already explained to you so as you could expect we lived in large home we had eighty servants, seven grooms, a large stable, and not to mention a estate also very large, oh listen to me going on, I shall not bore you with my large estate life Brigget said as she slightly tilted her head downward but still looked at Anne. So let me start with were I meet Achan... One day me and my family at the breakfast table and my father made an announcement that my brother was coming home! Oh we were so happy, for my brother was a captain in the army and we had not seen each other for six years. Also said my father, he is bringing a friend over as well. After I had finished my breakfast I decided to take a walk among the fields. Oh it was a glorius day, there where wild flowers blomming all around, and the sky was clear and I could hear a lark singing in the distince, when all of a sudden I saw a man walking among the wild black berry bushes, he saw me and waved his hand and started walking torwds me, I was afraid at first but as I looked at his face there was a certain calmness about it, and his face beamed with joy and I could only asume that he was a man who had been outdoors and not a man from.... Shall I say the counting house, so I started walking towards him and we meet and said hello, bowed, and he asked me if I wanted to walk with him. I agreed happily but alas we had to end the happy time together because you see it was getting late according to the sun so I ran home to prepare for dinner. Once I arrived at home I went inside and I dressed in my evening gown, and then it was time for my evening embroidery with mama."
Here she stoped for Anne had interrupted.
"Do tell me about your mama."
"Why Your Majesty?"
"Because if you tell me," Said Anne as if she was irritated, "Then I shall be able to picture your mother in my mind."
"Well Your Majesty, my mother was such a kind and gentile woman, with eyes the color of the sea after a storm, hair as golden as the sun, and skin the color of the richest olive oil. She was so meek and patince, she would have given the lowest of persons as much respect as a loyalist would give his king, I only wish to one day be half so good as my dear mother" said Brigget in a sort of daze.
"Your mother sounds so lovely! No lovely is not the word, charming is'int ethier.... well I suppouse I have yet to find the proper word" said Anne after a somewhat long silence.
Anne turned around and relised that she had inturupted Brigget again ( Now I know what your thinking dear reader, that Anne is a spoiled young woman, but she was never told how to really respect and care for others as God wants us to love are fellow man (or woman), you know their is a commandment that God has given us and it says that the Lord God wants us to love are neabors as much as you love yourself and he wants us to love and obey him,but you see Anne i'm afraid was never told about are dear loving father but there maybe a hope).
"I'm sorry," Said Anne in a soft voice, "I don't mean to keep inturrupting you, I hope you don't mind."
"No not at all." Said Brigget.
But as Anne looked at her eyes and could see a tear.
"Why are you crying?" Asked Anne in alarm.
"Because Your Majesty, it hurts me to betray my husband and the more and more I talk about the happier days the more and more I can't bear to talk about it, so I am trying to tell you about my husband as fast as possible."
"I see," Replied Anne, "Well then I shall not delay you any longer."
"Thank you your highness I am most grateful to you." Replied Brigget.
Anne gave her a glance.
"My my," Said Brigget, "Its getting late Your Majesty, I do belive we should retire to are homes."
"Yes I do belive your right," Replied Anne with a yawn. "I could use a goodnights sleep."
