"Happy Birthday Callie." Dad kisses my forehead. "I can't believe you're already 17." Dad sighed, pouting a bit.

I kissed his cheek.

"CALLIE!" Dustin tackles me. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISSY!!"

I hugged Dustin tightly.

Dad pulled us back to our feet.

"You both still have to go to school so get to it and don't be late."

Dustin ran to his room to finish getting ready, I sat down and started eating my chocolate chip pancakes.

The front door opens and Justeen runs in.

"Happy birthday baby girl." She places a small box beside my plate.

"Thank you." I opened the box and saw a beautiful purple diamond necklace. "It's beautiful."

She smiled. "My daughter picked it out. We knew you'd love it."

She helped me put it on.

Black came in kissed my cheek. Then ran out.

"Callie, we need to go before we're late." Dustin ran out of his room, shoved a pancake in his mouth then ran outside.

I hugged dad and Jay then ran out.

School went by in a blur. I barely saw Blake all day. I finally caught him after school.

"Can you give me a ride home?" I asked

"I have to go to work. I'm really sorry." He kissed me then ran towards his truck.

"Need a lift?"

I spun around and Chase was standing behind me.

"Please."

He walked towards his car with me following behind.

"Where'd Dustin go?" He asked climbing in.

"Detention, he fell asleep in class again."

He laughs and starts driving towards my house.

"When do you get your car back?"

"I don't, I have to get a new car, but I don't have the money for the one I want."

He nods.

We talk until he pulls up in my driveway.

"See ya later, birthday girl."

"Bye, lover boy."

He rolls his eyes as I get out and walk inside.
