The day went by slow, dad was out with Justeen, like he always was. Dustin was stuck at detection for another hour. Blake was at work until sometime tonight. I was alone at home. I walked out and rode my pony until I saw Blake's car pull up. I let Prince loose in the field and walked inside.
"Hey." I washed off the dirt.
He walks out to his little house, without saying a word.
Dustin comes in, puts his stuff away, then comes out and hands me a large box.
"I forgot to give this to you earlier."
I hugged him and opened the box.
"You got me a mini fridge?"
He nods. "Sorry about not giving you a ride after school.."
"It's okay, I got a ride with Chase."
He nods and helps put the mini-fridge in my room.
We hung out until Dustin had to go.
Dad was still out.
I looked at the little house Blake disappeared into a few hours ago.
I decided to leave him alone, we had been really busy lately and since my dad had Jess, Blake was free for once.
I went to my mom and did my nails and played with my hair. I left my room to find something to eat. Blake was in the kitchen looking for something.
"Hi?" My voice was shaky.
He turned around to look at me. "You okay?"
I shrugged
He tilted his head to the side then shrugged it off.
I started to pull sandwich supplies out of the fridge and cabinets.
"I'll be back late, watch Jess for me if your dad can't." Then he was gone.
"Alone on my birthday..." I stuck a candle into the sandwich. "Happy birthday Callie." I threw the wax stick on the ground and went back to my room.
