This one's going to be a short one. I don't really have time to put up more, but I thought you would like something... Its better than nothing

(Dr. Niki P.O.V.)
Mr. Brown was a human doctor, unlike myself. We had known each other since grade school, and we even went to the same college. If there was anyone on earth who I could trust, it would be him.
My smile must not have been much of a show, because the first words through his mouth were to ask if I was alright.
“Yeah I’m fine, just tired you know.” I turned away from him, before he could read anything more in my expression. He knew me too well sometimes. “Come look at your new patient.”
I walked over to the girl on the table. Her condition had stabilized, though she was still asleep.
He sighed and shook his head; “Niki, I know you were just doing what you thought was right, but still, to work on a human…” he trailed off.
“She was dying. If I hadn’t done anything, she would have died,” plus I’m not so sure anymore if she even is human. My voice was much too dark; I still hadn’t gotten over the wolf.
He realized this, “what’s wrong?” he asked in a gentler tone.
I just shook my head, unable to speak.
Another reason that I loved him so much was that he didn’t pry; he changed the subject, “were you able to contact her parents?”
“No…I don’t even know what her name is…” I hesitated then decided to give him the truth, well as much of the truth that I would be able to give, “I found her in the forest, with a bullet wound in her arm.”
“That’s not uncommon in these parts.” he sighed, “those hunters really ought to be more careful…but there was no one with her? That’s strange…unless the shooter didn’t want to get in trouble,” he frowned.
“But listen, that’s not what was odd…when I found her…she was totally naked.”
His eyes widened, and he turned to look at me with a sick expression on his face, “you don’t think…that someone’s raped her do you?”
“Ohmygod!” I didn’t even think of that.
“Don’t worry, if that’s what happened to this child, I’ll find the ones responsible,” his eyes were fierce, but then he seemed to shake himself. His eyes turned flippant, “But first, show me what you’ve done to fix this little egg back together again.”
I laughed once--the laugh sounded strange, strained--and then went to get the x-ray slides.
I snapped them onto the light board, and switched the button on. I stayed behind him chewing on my bottom lip—waiting for his assertion.
“You didn’t do too much damage fixing her arm,” he turned to smirk at me so that I would know he was teasing.
I couldn’t smile back. I was waiting for him to realize what we had.
His smirk, died away as he read the anguish in my eyes, “I was just joking you know. You did a really good job on the arm, much better than most doctors would have done.”
I just nodded, his brow furrowed, he turned back to the x-rays and then stiffened.
He had seen what we had. I hadn’t imagining it. I am not crazy.
