Chapter 7

~ Not Again! ~

I flew back home. Man, I was so tired! Standing up to my dad at full vamp is like standing up on a bull! Only I think my situation was way worse! Now I also have to explain everything to Kevin, who was now the Living One. You know what this is just stupid. I used to like that kid. Then, well he changed I guess. I stopped hanging out with him because my unvampire powers arrived, after that we stopped talking. Then, he found out my secret and why I had been acting so weird. Instead of acting normal again it is almost like he fears me! He annoys the crap out of me, but I haven't changed! I guess that is what my dad felt. The sorrow, it was probably all me. I sighed I didn't know what to do. I landed on my front porch. I may have just ruined his normal life too. I turned back to look the way of the gate. "And he doesn't know it yet." I muttered to myself. The front door open and shut behind me, it startled me a bit but I didn't move. "Who doesn't know what yet?" Emmit said putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Emmit, what should I do?" I asked

"Well you would think being a year older than you I would know right? Well, wrong, I still have no idea. Fate works in weird ways, sister." He replied

"No, that is not what I meant. It is not that I like Kevin, it is that he changed, after this whole vampire and unvampire stuff became a part of me too!" I said staying quiet.

"Oh, so you don't like him showing more interest in you?"

"Well, not in the way he is doing it, no." I said almost in tears, not because I like him, but because this day was just hard, and I still had not had blood yet.

"Oh, I think I get it. Why don't we get you inside and give you some blood. How does that sound?" Emmit said.

"That would be nice," I said tears just leaving my eyes "Hey, Emmit…"

"Yeah?" Emmit looked at me and wiped a tear from my eye.

"Do you think I just ruined his life? I mean by calling him my Living One?" I said looking up at him into his deep brown eyes.

"We will just have to see about that, now won't we." He said opening the door and leading me inside.

We didn't say much after that. My older brother went and got me some blood. I drank it pretty quickly, and decided it might be best to go take a nap, to regain strength. But, before I went up stairs I walked over to my brother and gave him a hug. He was the only one, who really understood what I felt, because he was a late bloomer as well, so, he had made friends he had to leave behind. "Thank You." I muttered. He just smiled, his fangs perfectly showing, on purpose I might add. I giggled. "I am going to go take a nap. If anyone else comes home from hunting please let me know." He nodded his head, and I went upstairs.

I walked up the old creaky stairs, and turned down the hallway. I walked into my room and lit only one or two candles. I really was tired. I wasn't supposed to sleep during the night time either but I did when my parents were out. Emmit was good at keeping my secret too. He was one of those brothers’ who understand things. We had the same kind of life when we both went to school. Before I was known to be an unvampire, when I was just normal, now, that doesn't apply. After thinking that, I shut my door and opened the lid of my coffin. I climbed into my coffin using the stairs I have always used, blew out the candles, and fell asleep before anything else terrible could happen.

I heard the door to my room open and close. I snapped back into consciousness. It had only been about an hour and a half... They were home already? I lifted the lid to my coffin, and sat up. Emmit had just lit the second candle from the door. "Are they here already?" I asked rubbing my eyes really wanting to go back to bed.
