I woke up the next morning just itching to get out of the house so after quickly getting dressed into some basketball shorts and a tank top I set out to go run for a while. Although it wasn’t my favorite thing to do it was exercise. Better to be out and about then in bed with a sleepy head! or at least that’s what dad always says. I ran outside and began my adventure. I stopped when I heard a familiar scream though. I quickly ran up the stairs to find myself at the public tennis courts. I laughed remembering that this is where I first met Hyotei. Quite the team they were.
“Let go of me!” I heard the voice shout again.
After walking around the corner to the main courts I found Tachibana’s little sister. If she was here then Tachibana was definitely here then. An evil smirk graced my face at the thoughts of what I was going to do to him. He told Sakuno all about my little act of pity. He was now on my must-kill-list. He was right below Justin Bieber and Tinkerbell. Laugh all you want but Tinkerbell is kind of a bitch, I mean c’mon every time Wendy or her daughter tried to get near him she would be all catty about it…
Anyway back on topic, I was too focused on Tachibana to notice the four other people surrounding her and the fight that was currently going on between them. “Let go of her.” Kamio said to the man who was now holding Ann by her wrist.
Atobe smiled. “Why would I do that? She said she would go on a date with me if I beat every guy here.” He said confidently. “And Kabaji and I did just that.” He said with a smile resembling that of the Cheshire cat.
All Kabaji added was. “Usu.” A man of many words.
Momo and Kamio were currently glaring at the man who held Ann as hostage. Momo smirked. “Well you forgot one team right Kamio?” he said with a smile.
Kamio looked over to him surprised before finally getting it. “Yeah.” He said nodding his head in agreement.
But before anything else could be said I rashly charged into the argument and pushed away Atobe’s arm so I could get to Ann. Everyone looked surprised at this action, Atobe looked slightly angry until he saw who it was that did it. A smirk played on his lips once again.
“Clair?” Momo said stunned.
But I ignored him I had bigger fish to fry. “Okay Ann, where is he?” I asked seriously.
She looked at me confused. She was going to thank me for saving her, but that was the last thing on my mind. “I’m sorry Clair, but who are you looking for?” she asked confused.
A vein appeared on my forehead and throbbed. “Your brother of course! I’ll kill him when I see him!” I declared punching a fist into the air.
Everyone looked at me as if I had some sort of illness. “W-what are you talking about?” Momo said almost as if I was stupid.
“What do you mean what am I talking about?" I repeated.
“If Ann is here then Tachibana must be here! And I’m going to make him pay.” I proclaimed darkly while a sadistic smile made it’s way onto my face.
Shivers ran up and down Kamio and Momo’s spines at what I had planned for him. “Ore-sama always seem to run into you when you’re about to start a fight.” Atobe said referring to the last time we met.
I looked up to the owner of the voice only now noticing that Atobe was indeed, actually, here. I grimaced at his very presence. “What are you doing here?” I asked fed up with him and his egotistical existence already.
His smirk only seemed to get bigger as he put his hand over his heart. “What, Clair? Does my appearance here affect you in some way?” he asked rather innocently.
I glared at him. “Why yes, it does actually.” I replied curtly and to the point. He chuckled a bit at this. “You know,” I said. “I always seem to have a problem with the captains. Both you and Tachibana are starting to get on my nerves.” I stated rather frustrated with this fact. Teito too! Next thing you know it'll be Tezuka!
“You don’t think it’s strange how you're not a tennis player, but surrounded by all of them.” He said amused with the situation.
Momo quickly stepped up to defend my honor. “You're wrong,” he said quite boldly, which gained everyone’s attention. “Clair became an official regular of Seigaku yesterday, that means she can play to her hearts content now.” He said proud to have his senior on the team.
Atobe, Kamio, and Ann looked shocked by the breaking news. They all quickly reverted their attention to me. I shurgged, trying to contain my excitment and play it cool instead. “It’s true.” I said smiling.
Atobe continued smirking though. “So, it looks like you really will get to entertain me with your tennis like I asked before.” He said charmingly.
I snorted. “Not unless I have to.” I muttered looking to the side.
Then something seemed to click in Momo’s mind. “Clair, you know him?” Momo asked shocked.
It was silent for a couple seconds before Kamio hit him in the back of the head. Momo quickly covered the place where he had been hit. “It took you that long to figure it out?” He shouted at Momo.
Atobe laughed once again at the stupidity of the situation. His laughing brought Kamio and Momo out of their thoughts and back to the current situation. I looked between this unusually tense atmosphere between Atobe and the others. I stepped in-between the two. “Hold up, what’s going on here?” I asked confused by the whole situation.
Kamio looked over to me. “Atobe forced Ann to promise that if he beat everyone on the courts in a match then she would go on a date with him.” He said disgusted at the very thought.
I laughed a bit. Everyone looked at me confused. I looked up noticing the stares. “Oh! Sorry, just ignore me. Serious moment, not funny at all! got it.” I said with a thumbs up, but within seconds I was trying to contain my laughter all over again.
