10. Kai (Reason)

I waited for my cousin to close down his store which he opened three days ago.
"Doing good already in the first week," he said. I agreed to work for him since he has no employees yet and I can get free bubble tea.
"Thanks Y/N," my 35 years old cousin who moved to Seoul hugged me tightly.
"Wait, how do I look?" He said. He straight his tie and tuck in his shirt. He was going to propose to his girlfriend he dated for five years.
"You're a little stinky," I said. He pull out his cologne and accidentally spray me.
"Mianhae Y/n," he said. I laugh and said its ok.
"Ah, it's nothing. I have to go now, it's getting late," I said and wave to him. I rode the bus home and walked to the front door. I open the door and saw Kai staring straight at me.
"I just got back from work," I said.
"This late?" He said. My boyfriend that I dated for three years,eyes were red and his anger show.
"Mianhae," I kiss his cheek.
"Why do you have men cologne on?" He ask. I smile and hug him, but he pushes me away.
"You cheated on me, y/n," Kai said.
"Ani, Kai-"
"I don't need you explanation," he said.
"Please listen, I-"
"Cheated? That's right," he said. He cross his arms. I cried and slide down and hug my legs.
"And I thought you loved me," he said. He walked upstairs. I cried softly for a couple minutes and heard thumps from upstairs. My vision was very blurry since my tears hasn't stop.
"I hate you, y/n. I was such a fool for dating you," he said. I saw him carrying a luggage and slamming the door behind him. I couldn't believe what just happen. My phone suddenly rang.
"Ne?"
"Y/N!!! She said yes!" ChanYoung said.
"Wow, that's great," I sniffled a couple times.
"Y/n, what happen? Are you crying?" A girl voice came up.
"Ani, congrats, tell me when your wedding is coming," I said.
"Thanks, we are going to be cousin- sisters in law. Is that a thing?" She laugh.
"We could. Congrats," I fake laugh. My crying stopped.
"Let's eat together tonight Y/N. Meet up at the Korean BBQ, araseo?" She said. I open my mouth to say no, but she hung up already. I drag myself to my bedroom. I saw clothes laying on the ground and empty drawers open. I change into my outfit. I close the drawers, but there was one that had a small red box. I saw it and gasp. A shiny diamond ring was in the middle. Kai was going to propose to me? My tears was formed. I put it on and cried. I shook my head and walk to BBQ shop. I saw ChanYoung and his fiancé waiting.
"Ah, Y/N," she saw me and hugged me tightly.
"I'm so happy you came," she said. I manage to smile.
"Where's Kai?" ChanYoung ask. I broke the hug.
"He's busy at work. Don't worry," I manage Thank you so much say without crying. He nod and we walked in and cooked the meal in front of our faces.

"Mianhae, I need to use the restroom real quick," ChanYoung's girlfriend walk away, leaving me and ChanYoung alone.
"Poor Kai. I want to meet him one day," ChanYoung said. I kept silent and nod. I sigh and cover my face.
"We broke up," I mutter.
"What? Why?" ChanYoung said. I explain everything to ChanYoung and cried everytime I mention Kai's name.
"Mianhae, Y/N," ChanYoung rub my back.
"Yeobo, what happen?" I look up from my palms and saw his fiancé.
"Ani, I'll tell you later," ChanYoung.
"Forget it. Let's celebrate to your guys new family," I said. We cheered.

It's has been two weeks since I have talk to Kai. Everyday, I would arrive at work and work my hardest. Everyday, the words Kai said to me, linger in my mind. I hate you... I was such a fool for dating you...
"Yah, careful," ChanYoung yell as he remove the knife away. I almost forgot I was cutting vegetables.
"Y/N, you had enough depression already. Let's go to SM and tell him the truth," ChanYoung said.
"Ani, it was my fault. I should've told him I was working with you," I said.
"Ani, Im taking you there," ChanYoung pull my wrist.
"Jagiya, watch the shop for a bit," ChanYoung kiss his wife to be. He drove me to SM.
"Oppa, please don't," I said. He stop the engine and walk out the car. I walk out and saw the SM building. I went here many times, so much that the security remembers me and let's me in. ChanYoung dragged me and we approach.
"ChanYoung, stop," I said. My eyes got super watery and my tears flow down. We walk to the gates, but stop when we saw the guard.
"Y/n? Aren't you Kai's girlfriend?" He ask. I nod.
"Who's he?"
"My cousin," I replied. He nod and letted us in. ChanYoung stop and letted go of my wrist.
"What floor is he on?" ChanYoung ask. I shook my head.
"I'm too ashamed. He's deserve a better girl. A girl who he can trust," I said. ChanYoung mutter sometime and walk up to the reception and ask. I cover my face and cried in my palms.
"Araseo, lets go," he said. We use the elevator and went to xxx floor. I follow ChanYoung and saw a door with a sign. EXO
"Oppa, I'm not ready," I said. He ignore my words and open it. I heard music playing. He walked in. I stood and watch ChanYoung approach Kai.
"Who are you?" Kai ask. ChanYoung didn't say anything. He approach Kai and punch Kai straight in the face. Kai fell to the ground and held his cheek. ChanYoung clench his fist and raise it.
"Stop!" I yell. Everyone kept there eyes on me.
"ChanYoung, stop," I mutter.
"So this is the person who you decided to date and leave me?" Kai ask. ChanYoung pull Kai up by his collar. All the members stood there dumbfounded.
"Don't you get to conclusion that fast. Listen to her before you decide she cheated on you or not?" ChanYoung threw Kai to the ground. I gasp and helped Kai. I pull him up and walk out of the studio. I close the door behind me. Kai sat down and touch his cheek.
"Are you ok?" I touch his cheek, but he move my hand away.
"Kai, I didn't cheat on you," I said. He rolled his eyes.
"Kai, I swear. I worked with my cousin at his restaurant and I smelled like men cologne because he getting married and accidentally spray the cologne at me," I cried as I finally finish told Kai the truth. He seem speechless, I couldn't take it anymore.
"And if you don't trust me, I'll leave you forever and won't bother you anymore," I stood up and walked back into EXO studio. They all seem like they understood everything and ChanYoung was just done telling them everything. I knock on the door to get their attention. Baekhuyn and Suho immediately ran up to me.
"Sorry, y/n. We didn't know you worked at your cousin's place. Please forgive us and EXO," They both plead. I laugh and hugged the both of them.
"So how's Kai?" Suho ask. I shrug my shoulders.
"ChanYoung, let's not leave your bride at the shop alone, bye," I said. ChanYoung nod.
"Are we invited to the wedding?" Tao ask.
"You all are. We're friends now, right?" ChanYoung said. Tao cheered and nod. I laugh at his cuteness and walk out with ChanYoung.
"Are you ok now?" He ask. I didn't answer and continue walking out of SM.
"Where's Kai?" He ask. I shrug my shoulders again. I look around I couldn't see Kai anywhere.

"Yes!" I yell as I watch my favorite drama. I wore my sweatshirt and sweatpants.
Ding dong
I turn off my T.V and walk to the door. I didn't invited anyone, did I? I open the door and saw a handsome man in front of me holding a bouquet of fresh red roses and a dashing smile plastered on his face.
"Kai?" I said.
"Y/n, I'm so sorry about thinking you even cheated on me. I don't hate you, I will never regret dating you, because-" he stop and saw the ring on my finger. He smile and took it off my hand. He slowly took the ring off and got down on his kneel.
"I'm so so sorry. I will never do that again, I promise. I also promise I'll never leave you and love you forever. One thing that will last forever is my love for you. Please accept me again? Will you want to be Mrs.Kim? Will you marry me?" He said. I cover my mouth and hug him tightly.
"Yes," I replied. We stood up and he place the ring back on my finger.
"I love you," I said and hug him tightly.
"Nado, saranghae," he whisper.
