32. Chen <Mystic> (Electric Heart)

I sneeze onto my tenth tissue. My forehead with burning up too. I felt like I was never going to heal.
"Are you sure you don't have work today?" I ask my best friend, Chen.
"Aish, don't worry about me. You're so sick," he said and laid a towel on my forehead.
"Thanks, Chen Chen," I said and smile.
"That's what best friends are for, right?" He ask.
"I guess," I said. I looked out the window and saw a storm coming.
"Get some rest, araseo?" He said and pull my blanket up for me. I snuggle against my blanket and close my eyes. I drifted off.

"Please don't go," I heard a fainted voice.
"Get her to the room, now! Move!" I heard many other voices. My flicker my eyes and saw a guy in a white lab coat pushing me. I was on a bed outside. Why? My head hurts and so did my whole body.
"Let me go with her! I promised to protect her," I heard a familiar voice.
"I love her," he yelled. The man push the bed onto a big white car. An ambulance. A person jumped next to me and tugged my arm.
"Please wake up. Y/n, Y/n," he called my name. I fell asleep again.

Beep! Beep!
"She barely alive. She'll wake up soon," a man with a deep voice said.
"Thank you doc," I recognized his voice.
"Chen," I utter to say.
"Y/n!" I heard footsteps coming closer.
"Are you ok? Wait, of course not. This is all my fault. I should've block it more," he said. I open my eyes a little and saw him. His face, he had dark circles and red eyes.
"Chen," I said again.
"You still remember me?" He said. I held my hand out to touch his hand.
"I'm so so sorry. This is all my fault," Chen said. I touch his cheek and force a smile.
"W-w-hat hap-"
"There was a storm and there was lightning. The lightning hit the house and shock you. The house with on fire and you were on the bed, dead," he stopped. I squeezed his hand hearing the word dead.
"Don't worry. I took some of the electricity out of your heart, but..." He stopped talking. Chen took a deep breath.
"But I lose my power. There are many ways you can lose your powers like using it for evil, harming someone, saving someone you love," he said. He loves me?
"Now you know the truth," he said. I took my hand out of his. I pointed at myself, then a heart sign, then pointed at him.
"You love me too? Ah,that's why I could work my powers saving you," he said. He must've notice my confused expression.
"The only way to work my power or heal you during the storm, was love. You must love me to make me able to heal you," he said. I held his hand tightly.
"Thank you, I promise to protect you forever, I'll never let this happen again," Chen said.
"Promise?" I ask. I notice my voice didn't sound hoarse anymore.
"Ne, I promise. I love you, Y/n," he said.
"I love you too," I said.
