62. ChanYeol *Requested* (Wolves Love) Part 1

Us wolves are very loyal to each other and protect each other. We play a different role in the pack.
"Stay low,"  Suho muttered. I nodded and sneaked up to the prey quietly. Suho hid behind the log and waited for me. This is it. I jumped onto the deer bitting its leg and pulling it harshly so the prey fell to the ground. It tried to get up and escape but Suho ran out from behind the log to helped me with the job. Once the deer stop moving, we let go of the limps and pant.
"Good job," Suho cheered. I nodded and picked up it's leg. Suho and I began dragging the deer back to the cave where everyone else was.
"Do you know what today is?" Suho ask me. I shook my head.
"Your birthday?" I guessed.
"... no. It's the day every wolf is waiting for. I can't wait to get a mate," Suho trailed off. Oh yeah! Wolf packs from all over the woods gather together in the deepest part of the wood and choose who our mate is. The Elders of Wolves chooses who is with who. Suho and I are either leaving the pack or staying depending on what the Elders of Wolves have decided.
"Me too, I just hope we still stay together. Hunting won't be as fun without you," I told him.
"Yea, I won't have anyone to tease," Suho chuckle. I rolled my eyes and shook my head. Our pack was the Northern Pack, there were three others, Western, Southern, and Eastern. We walked for a way until Suho broke the silent.
"I have a brother from the Southern Pack. We got split at a very young age," Suho broke my trains of thoughts.
"Hm? A brother? You never told me this."
"I never got to learn his name but yeah, I tried sneaking over to their territory just to see him, but I never got to see him. I was kicked out every time," Suho growled lowly. We stop in our track.
"Maybe you'll see him today.." I paused for a second.
"Last one back to the pack is the loser!" I howled. I picked up the deer and bolted off.
"Yah! You cheater!" Suho barked. I kicked a log and tried to slow him down but he hopped over it.
"Can't trip me," he laughed. We ended our race sooner than I thought. The whole pack were grouped together and I saw my family in the distance.
"They're getting ready. We have to report to the alpha and make sure he checks us off..." Suho paused for a second.
"Something is not right," Suho muttered.
