"I hate her Janie, how can she be so cruel?" Jack asks as he grazes his long fingers through his hair.

Jack is my best friend, 27 years young, brown hair and eyes, in and out of many relationships and I mean, many, relationships. Right now he's telling me about the recent girl he just met and how she dumped him because he was too clingy.

Yes he may be the type of guy who holds onto relationships but I don't blame him. He looks for love, not sex, although many girls-women these days only go for the second thing.

I have to admit my love for him grows but he tends to never notice, we've been friends since the fourth grade. Cleaning up his mess every time a girl breaks his heart, is always a routine.

"It's okay Jack you will find another girl, who won't just go for you body" I pat his shoulder in sympathy.

He bows his head to his hands, "I thought she was the one Janie, she told me I had a nice body but I was too clingy and then she just...dumped me"

I go through this about every week, a girl jumps his bones and then poof, it's over.

"Chin up Jack, there's plenty of other fishes in the sea" I rub his back.

He continues to sit with his hands in his face,"That's the thing Janie, all those fishes only go for this.." he gestures to his body.

"There's always someone Jack, not every girl wants your body" I snort.

"Your right Janie, I just have to be patient. Let 'the one' come to me, right?"

"Right" I lie, there's always gonna be another girl who wants to have sex with him.

"I guess another one bites the dust," Jack whispers.

My mind instantly goes to the song, weirdly. 🎶and another one bites the dust 🎶

"What's the rush any way? You're 27, you have a great job, house, car, and lastly me" I fiddle with my finger hoping he won't notice the passion is 'me'

"I just want a stable relationship Janie" he sighs.

I can't help but say, it's me Jack! Me! I'm 'the one'

"Let go get some beer, on me" I stand up.

He follows my doing,"Let's go clubbing!"

I scoff,"Clubbing? Are you sure you're stable enough to go clubbing? You just got dumped" I emphasized the ending.

"It'll be fun Janie, I'm fine, you're fine, we're fine... But that outfit isn't! Let's get you laid"

We get to my apartment, despite the size, it's small and cozy the way I attend it to be. I live with my roommate Tiffany, who is also my best friend.

"Hurry up and get ready Tiff! We're going clubbing with Jack!" I march into her room

"What's going on" her groggy sleepy voice says.

I sit on the edge of the bed," Jack wants us to go clubbing!" I lightly bounce on the mattress.

"You go, I had a long day at work" she whines.
