21: In hopes of you Janie

I woke up to the smell of something burning. I jolt out of my bed and run to the smelly kitchen. The room fills with smoke and I run to see the situation.

"What the fuck!" I scream

Tiffany's boyfriend Rufus must have cooked something and forgot about it. That dumb idiot almost burned down our apartment!

I swat the fire out and place the burning pan in the sink. When I set it in the sink it starts to sizzle, I open the faucet and let the water touch the burning pan.

"Oh my god!" A shirtless Rufus runs out of Tiffany's room.

I keep my patients,"Don't you ever cook in my apartment ever! If you do, so help me god I will bust your ball open and feed them to the neighbors dogs!"

"S-sorry, I was going to cook Tiffany breakfast but then we kinda got carried away"

"Ugh, you two need to stop before- do you even know that she's-"

"Morning Janie!" Tiffany interrupts

"You two talk before I do" I point my fingers at the two bodies

"Janie...." Tiff whine

"I'll be in the shower" I storm to my room and hop in the cold shower.

The drive to school was very calming, that was my thinking spot. In my car I would think of all the things going on in my life. And when I would leave my car I would leave all my thoughts in there.

"Morning Ms. Sully" a deep voice enters my room

I turn back and see a well suited Hunter.

"Hunter! Don't scare me like that" I walk to him and he wraps his arms around my waist

"I said morning" he smirks

"Morning... Um if you don't mind me asking, what are you doing here?" My voice falters

"I came by to see my girlfriend"

My eyes shot straight up. Did he just call me his girlfriend or was he referring to another person.

It was like, as if he read my mind,"You."

"Oh" he then crashes his soft lips onto mines and starts to caress my cheeks.

"I guess you my boyfriend then?" I let out as we broke for air

"You guessed right Ms. Sully" he kisses my lips gently. He begins to unbutton my shirt and I let him. But as soon as I realized we were at school, my job was on the line.

"No, no mister. Not here" I button up my shirt

"Right. We're at school. But what if I lock the doors and close the blinds then would you let me?" He raises an eyebrow

"No! I am not having-" I lower my voice ,"sex, in my classroom. My kids play and learn in here"

"Fine" he gives up

"It was a nice try. Maybe tonight?" I smile

His face grow bigger and he inches closer to me,"For the world"

"Bring what you got" I smirk

He chokes up a laugh,"It's all in my pants"

I begin to redden and just in time the bell rings."I'll see you tonight Ms. Sully"

"Don't call me Ms. Sully, Huntie" I reply

"Touché. See you tonight Janie," he places a small kiss on my cheeks and leaves.

"Hey Janie! When you get this call me back.... Oh and it's Jack by the way"

I heard the voicemail and instantly called him back.

"Jack?" I speak to the phone

"Hey Janie!" He answers

"How are you? Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm okay, thanks for coming to the rescue. I wanted to talk to you about something, wanna come over?"

"Yeah sure. I'll text you when I'm there"

We both hang up the phone and I start my car up. As I was pulling up to the curb a car honked at me.

"What now!" I bark in my car

The car drives beside me and Hunter smiles. Oh my! He's here!

I roll my window down and grin at him. He adjusts his jacket and finally speaks,"I followed you here. What are you doing at a place like this?"

"Oh I came by to see Jack.... And why were you following me?" I lift a smile at the corner of my lips

"Because you're my girlfriend and I need to know where you are"

"Well i'll be fine," I assure him "I just wanted to check up on Jack and see how's he doing" 

The car behind him honks and I jolt out of my seat. Hunter laughs it off and blows me a kiss goodbye. It still feels unreal to me that a guy like Hunter is mines. Never have I thought that I'd be in a committed relationship or whatever this is. I grab my phone and text Jack that I'm in his parking lot and make my way towards his apartment. 

I casually walk into his place and make sat down on his couch, I can hear him taking a shower so I decided to text Hunter. After texting him for ten minutes I decided to look for something to eat so I scavenged through Jack's fridge. My eyes immediately see potato salad and I quickly grab that thing.

"I see that you saw my potato salad" Jacks says behind me

I happily turn around with the tub of potato salad in my hand and act cool about it. "You knew I was going to come and eat this?"

He smirks,"Janie you're my best friend, of course I knew you were gonna come and search through my fridge" 

I grab a spoon from the counter top and began to dig in, "So what'd you need me for?"

"Well I wanted to discuss about me getting married" his face falls.

"Lets go sit and talk about it" 

"I don't think I'm ready Janie," he blurts out.
