The rain was relentless as it danced across the lake and poured across the nearby cliff side, two armies were in the verge of meeting to determine the fate of the world, from the west came an army of humans aided by machines whose only purpose was to eliminate anything that decided to try and stop them; this included any animals that got into their line of fire, many creatures had perished before the war had even started.

Meanwhile from the eastern side came an army of human and animal hybrids helped only by their magical abilities, the only thing they had to stop the humans and claim the world for themselves, despite being outnumbered by the humans and their cold machines, the hybrids were prepared for this battle, even if it meant being killed, this was what they had been trained for.

However unbeknownst to the armies, a smaller battle was about to start by the cliffs edge, one that would determine the worlds fate, whether it could be destroyed or saved.

"I cannot fight you, I refuse to harm you by my sword, there won't be any winners, we both want to save the world, why must we fight this pointless war"

A lonely figure with blonde hair and blue eyes is lit up by the immense lighting, stands close to the cliff edge, overlooking the dark lake, a sword extends from his hand, pointed towards the ground, he waits in anticipation as the Lightning arcs across the sky, staring at the other figure clad in black armour, his mind was scared but he would never let himself or his former friend know of that fact. "Of course there will be a winner, me. I will win this fight, I will save the world, and I will stop you from using the power of the star for yourself!"

"But, I want to save this world, create a new start for it. Can't you see the damage we have created?" The nervousness was clear in his voice, he was no longer scared, he was now terrified of what the outcome will be. "Yes, I can. And that's exactly why I must kill you, here and now" the figure in armour dashes forwards, the swords clash in mid-air and forces the blonde even closer to the lake. "I'll die, why must you do this"

After a few minutes of frantic searching, looking for a way to escape, his gaze settles on a small, almost undertake shadow in the nearby woodlands. "Skye... Find the black Raven! I can't help you any more. Please, find him. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you"

The cold rain mixes with his tears as he stares at the shadowy figure hiding in the trees, knowing that they want to save him, but they can't. A wave of anxiety overwhelms him and he stumbles back under the sudden pressure, the rocks beneath him crumble away into the dark abyss. "Goodbye, maybe if you had taken my offer, I would spare you from my blades metallic bite, but hero's are all the same, help others, don't help yourself..... I won't miss you or your contaminated blood"

Time slows down as he watches the figure dive towards him, the cold spell of the blade being plunged into his chest as a bolt of lightning hits he lake, illuminating the scene. Thunder drowns out the nearby scream as the man'S body tumbles off the edge into the torrent of water and darkness. The figure steps towards the edge and looks down "pathetic... You know" he turns to the shadowy figure. "He always loved you, he was too nervous to say anything, and now he's dead. I wish I could say I was sorry, but I'm not" he walks over to the figure and hits them on the back of the head, knocking them unconscious. "Let's take a small trip, to Crystalia."
